Today, Shanghai Junpaiyingshi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “IMPACT Therapeutics”), a subsidiary of Nanjing Impact Therapeutics Inc. and an innovative drug R&D company focused on the mechanism of synthetic lethality in oncology, announced a collaboration with Hangzhou Huadong Medicine Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Huadong Medicine”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Huadong Medicine Co.,Ltd. (SZ.000963), regarding the commercial promotion of Senaparib (IMP4297), an innovative PARP inhibitor (hereinafter referred to as the “Licensed Product”), in mainland China. Huadong Medicine will obtain exclusive marketing rights for Senaparib in mainland China. Zhoudou Capital served as the exclusive financial advisor to IMPACT Therapeutics.

The New Drug Application (NDA) for senaparib was accepted by the NMPA in August 2023. This product demonstrates strong synergy with Huadong Medicine’s existing ovarian cancer pipeline. We will collaborate with IMPACT Therapeutics to actively advance the commercialization of senaparib in China, thereby providing ovarian cancer patients with more numerous, more effective, and safer therapeutic options.”

 

Under the relevant agreement terms, Huadong Medicine will be responsible for the commercial marketing and promotion of Senaparib in China. As the Marketing Authorization Holder (MAH) of the licensed product, IMPACT Therapeutics will be responsible for its registration, clinical development, manufacturing, supply, and distribution. IMPACT Therapeutics will receive an upfront payment of RMB 100 million and milestone payments for registration and commercialization of up to RMB 190 million. Additionally, IMPACT Therapeutics will pay Huadong Medicine marketing service fees based on future net sales.

Senaparib (IMP4297), a novel and highly potent PARP1/2 inhibitor independently developed by IMPACT Therapeutics, features a unique molecular structure that ensures excellent target selectivity and a broad safety window. The Phase III registrational study of senaparib as first-line maintenance therapy for the entire population with advanced ovarian cancer (FLAMES) has met its primary endpoint. In August 2022, the fixed-dose combination capsule of senaparib and temozolomide (TMZ) for the treatment of adult patients with small cell lung cancer (SCLC) was granted Orphan Drug Designation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). In August 2023, the National Medical Products Administration accepted the New Drug Application (NDA) for senaparib in China.
