Founded in 2013, Yijia is a platform-based company that provides one-stop comprehensive health and elderly care service solutions for member families through professional services and digital-intelligent technologies. With the mission of “safeguarding the health of every Chinese family,” Yijia is committed to building an elderly care membership system covering 200 million people in China. Currently, it has expanded to 17 cities including Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Tianjin, with over 2,000 employees, approximately 100,000 senior members, and delivering more than 8 million home nursing service visits annually.
In 2018, Yijia became the first domestic home-based health and wellness provider to obtain international JCI Home Care accreditation. In September 2021, it successfully passed the reaccreditation review, remaining the only home care institution in China to have received this distinction to date. In March 2021, a nursing station under Yijia was rated as Shanghai’s first “Five-Star” long-term care insurance service provider. Meanwhile, Yijia has prioritized organizational capability building, including strategy execution, team collaboration, and talent development, and was awarded the Best Practice Award at the “2023 · 8th Organizational Capability Survey and Evaluation” earlier this year.
Yijia has established multiple industry standards. In 2020, it drafted the "Shanghai Changning District Community and Home-based Care Standards for Cognitive Impairment" and participated in the development of national group standards, including the "Smart Elderly Care - Home-based Long-term Care Insurance Supervision Specifications," "Smart Health and Elderly Care - Home Safety Service Specifications," and "Smart Health and Elderly Care - General Technical Requirements for Service Platforms." This also marked the official release of China's first group standards for home and community-based care for cognitive impairment. In 2021, Yijia drafted the "Shanghai Changning District Home-based Long-term Care Insurance Service Management Specifications," signifying that its service management and operational standards in the home nursing sector have gained recognition and are gradually becoming a benchmark for industry standardization and professionalism.

Notably, AHC is the only supervision system in China that enables real-time quality control for home-based health and elderly care through AI-powered voiceprint recognition. The system has been awarded more than ten national invention patents and other certifications.
Eliminating Blind Spots in Home-Based Health and Elderly Care Services
A New Approach to Enhancing Home Care Service Quality and User Protection
According to data released by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, by the end of 2021, there were 40,000 registered elderly care institutions across China, providing 5.3 million beds, yet the bed occupancy rate remained below 50%. Meanwhile, among the more than 40 million elderly individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments, 95% opted for home-based care. Among those assuming caregiving roles, 95.6% are family members (spouses and children), while the remainder rely on nannies and domestic helpers. However, since spouses and children may face limitations in energy and professional expertise, support from professional caregivers is essential. The responsibilities of domestic helper and nanny services are limited, preventing them from delivering professional home-based health and elderly care services. Variations in operational models and corporate cultures among different service providers lead to significant disparities in regulatory oversight. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a unified management system and standardized service protocols. Through digital regulatory systems, service processes can be standardized, service quality improved, and consistency and standardization of care ensured.
Home-based care services are crucial for the elderly and their families; however, service quality can be inconsistent, with frequent incidents involving unqualified caregivers and illicit agencies, causing immeasurable harm to families and individuals. To address this issue, it is essential to implement a service process monitoring system. During service delivery, it is important to ensure that service providers do not collect unnecessary video data, thereby safeguarding user privacy and protecting the security of personal information through stringent data security measures.
Technological advancements have injected new momentum into numerous industries, and the health and elderly care sector is no exception. As China’s first professional medical and elderly care service provider to obtain JCI International Home Care accreditation, Yijia has played a pivotal role in leveraging technology throughout its development. By incorporating comprehensive system monitoring into the entire home-based care process, Yijia ensures safety and service quality. In response to market demands, Yijia independently developed the “AI Artificial Intelligence Service Process Digital Supervision Solution” for AHC (Erjiahu). This solution enhances the quality of home-based services, safeguards user privacy and data security, and enables service supervision and accountability tracing. Furthermore, it drives innovation and development within the home care industry, providing users with more reliable and efficient home nursing services.
