StartUp Health Adds Six Digital Health Startups to Its Portfolio

New York-based digital health startup accelerator StartUp Health is dedicated to inspiring and educating entrepreneurs while providing them with the resources needed to build sustainable health and wellness companies. The accelerator also collaborates closely with partners such as Startup America Partnership (SAP) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to host a series of StartUp Health Roundtables, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, and organizations to jointly explore the challenges and opportunities in the development of health and wellness startups.

At the start of 2015, StartUp Health added six new portfolio companies, expanding its roster to 90 enterprises. The newly joined companies span various subsectors of healthcare, ranging from telemedicine and patient engagement to wellness, nutrition, and diagnostics. AlemHealth(Dubai, UAE) is an integrated telemedicine platform that connects hospitals with a global network of healthcare providers and offers affordable services to patients.

Gritness(Austin, Texas, USA) A search engine has been developed that enables consumers and businesses to discover, create, and engage with local group fitness programs.

Healarium(Tel Aviv, Israel, and Birmingham, Alabama, USA) provide a patient engagement platform that enables consumers to manage their own health through daily therapies offered on the platform.

IDX Ventures(New York, USA) Produces an affordable, disposable home testing device called ClariFlow to detect benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men.

Mouthwatch(New York, USA) Provides a remote dentistry technology and communication platform utilizing endoscopy.

NuPlanit(Boston, USA) provides a real-time behavioral support platform to help users plan their daily meals.
