Sprint’s TechStars accelerator has announced its second cohort, comprising ten selected companies that range from a few with emerging recognition to a diverse array of early-stage startups. These companies will be headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, and will collaborate with the University of Kansas Medical Center. In addition, each company will receive $120,000 in funding from the accelerator.“Sprint is honored to partner once again with TechStars to bring this world-class accelerator program to Kansas City,” said Kevin McGinnis, Vice President of Pinsight Media+, a division of Sprint, in a statement. “We look forward to helping these companies grow, as our experience last year demonstrated that the positive impact extends beyond the accelerator’s startups. The opportunities provided also foster an entrepreneurial spirit among our employees and help further strengthen the region’s already vibrant startup community.”
