Walvax Biotech's 13-Valent Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine Meets Primary Endpoints in Phase III Clinical Trial in Indonesia

Beijing Business News(Reporters: Wang Yinhao, Song Yuying) June 16,WalvaxThe Company announced that its subsidiary, Yuxi Watson Biotechnology Co., Ltd., recently received the Phase III clinical trial report for the 13-valent pneumococcal polysaccharide conjugate vaccine (brand name “Weuphoria”) conducted in Indonesia using the “2p+1” immunization schedule (primary immunization at 2 and 4 months of age, plus a booster dose at 12–15 months of age). The report indicated that the Phase III clinical trial results fully met the predefined endpoints.

The announcement stated that this clinical trial adopted a randomized, blinded, active-controlled design. The study population consisted of healthy infants and young children aged 6 to 8 weeks in Indonesia, who were assessed using the “2p+1” immunization schedule to receive either the investigational vaccine or the control vaccine. Walvax’s receipt of the Phase III clinical trial report for the “2p+1” immunization schedule marks the successful completion of the overseas Phase III clinical research phase for this vaccine in Indonesia.
