According to data from the World Health Organization, more than 17 million people die from cardiovascular diseases each year, accounting for 30% of global deaths. In China, the mortality rate from cardiovascular diseases stands at 40%, the highest in the world. Approximately 3.5 million people die from cardiovascular diseases annually in China, equivalent to 9,590 deaths per day, 400 deaths per hour, and one death every 10 seconds.

In fact, 90% of these deaths are preventable with early warning, as demonstrated by SmartCardio.

SmartCardio is an intelligent, portable, wireless ECG monitor that enables real-time monitoring of human electrocardiographic activity and provides professional guidance from cardiologists along with risk alerts.

That is, it not only tracks and measures electrocardiogram (ECG) data but also incorporates many other innovative technologies. For instance, cardiologists can view users’ ECG data in real time for analysis and diagnosis. The device provides 24-hour monitoring of human ECG parameters while reducing the number of electrodes by half. Moreover, it operates entirely wirelessly during use, causing no interference whatsoever with normal daily activities.

SmartCardio: Wireless Electrodes + Integrated Device + Remote Server, Making ECG Measurement Smarter

  • Wireless Electrodes: The wireless electrodes are directly attached to the body and are completely invisible in appearance, making them a perfect choice for beauty-conscious individuals. Moreover, their fully wireless design ensures that SmartCardio will not interfere with normal physical activity.

  • Device: After receiving data from the electrode component, it performs processing such as denoising, then transmits the processed data to the cloud and displays it on the user's smart terminal.

  • Remote Server: ECG data analysis is performed on the server. The basic workflow is as follows: first, ECG data is acquired from the ECG electrodes and stored on the server. Meanwhile, the system compares the currently acquired ECG signal data with extensive historical data to generate predictive analyses for disease risk and assess the user’s overall health status. SmartCardio can also transmit the results of the data analysis to patients, their relatives, attending physicians, caregivers, and other relevant parties.

SmartCardio: Patient App + Family Member App + Doctor & Caregiver Portal, Delivering a More Convenient Patient Experience

  • Client Side: Real-time viewing of ECG data received from the cloud, along with analytical results and alerts generated by the server.

  • Family Side: By installing the corresponding application, family members can also monitor the patient's health status at any time.

  • Doctor/Nurse Portal: Doctors and nursing staff can receive analysis and alerts from the server, view patients' electrocardiogram (ECG) status in real time, and access historical ECG data records.

SmartCardio: ECG Analysis Algorithms Are the Core Competency, Offering Superior Comfort with Fully Wireless Design

The SmartCardio device primarily consists of two components: hardware and software. The hardware component is a compact, wireless 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) monitor, while the software component is mainly responsible for real-time signal analysis and processing. Early diagnosis is achieved through systematic analysis and processing of ECG data, with the final confirmation performed by experienced cardiologists.

The algorithm for ECG recognition and analysis is proprietary and unprecedented, representing the company’s core competitive advantage. Furthermore, this algorithm can be applied to technical fields involving the processing of non-stationary signals. The portable miniature ECG device is among the most advanced in the world and constitutes a vital component of the digital health industry.

The fully wireless and integrated system enables SmartCardio to provide patients with a more comfortable experience during normal operation. With this device, patients can move freely without worrying about issues such as electrode or wire detachment.

SmartCardio: Parameters and Module Composition

  • Parameters

Size: 45×60×9mm
Weight: 30g
Battery: 3.6V 750mA
Battery: Can record continuously for 7 days
Output Voltage: 0.03 to 400 mV

Frequency: 0.05–1500 Hz (−3 dB)
Noise: <7 mV
Voltage Capacity Difference: +500mV

  • Major Module Composition

1. Simulation Module.Among them, the acquisition nodes for the 12-lead ECG signals utilize the ADS1293 ECG acquisition chip. The system also includes three integrated instrumentation amplifiers for amplifying bioelectric potentials and three 24-bit analog-to-digital converters. As ECG signals are human physiological signals characterized by low-frequency, weak signals in the presence of strong background noise, the system incorporates filter circuits and defibrillation protection circuits. Furthermore, data is transmitted to the central processing unit via synchronous transmission.

2.CPU。The system utilizes an ARM STM32F103 processor with a processing speed of 72 MIPS. Its primary functions include receiving and storing new store data, as well as processing and analyzing the data.

3. Bluetooth module.Transmit ECG data wirelessly to terminal devices such as smartphones and tablets.

4. Memory module.Stostoit’s on-chip flash memory capacity and data storage card can, of course, be adjusted according to different usage scenarios.

5. Battery. The integrated lithium polymer battery has a capacity of 750 mAh. Under normal operating conditions of SmartCardio, it can continuously monitor dynamic ECG data for at least one week, and the node can operate for at least one month without recharging.

According to VCBeat’s statistics, the market offers a wide variety of ECG devices. The emergence of SmartCardio is particularly striking: it is wireless, wearable, and features long battery life; it enables continuous ECG monitoring without interfering with daily activities and exercise, while facilitating a streamlined diagnosis-and-treatment loop in collaboration with physicians—all integrated into a single device.
