Super Vaccine Chart: Deepening Grassroots Engagement and Pioneering a New Frontier in Internet Healthcare

In the field of internet healthcare, doctors from large Grade 3A hospitals have always been a fiercely contested resource for major internet healthcare companies. However, Xiong Shuirou, founder of the Super Vaccine Table APP, chose to delve deeply into the vast yet overlooked market of community hospitals.

Xiong Shuirou believes that as national policies such as “strengthening primary care” and “tiered diagnosis and treatment” are gradually implemented, the role of primary healthcare will become increasingly important. Compared with tertiary hospitals, community hospitals have lower levels of informatization and limited financial resources, creating a certain demand for third-party information service providers. Moreover, since Super Vaccine Table offers its services free of charge, it quickly gained favor among hospitals. Currently, Super Vaccine Table has covered one hundred community hospitals across China, making it the mobile internet vendor in the vaccine sector with the most extensive collaborations with community hospitals.

Vaccines represent a highly specialized niche. Many of Xiong Shuirou’s friends were curious as to why she chose this particular entry point for her third entrepreneurial venture. Xiong explained that this decision stemmed from the sensitivity inherent in her technical background; whenever she encountered inconveniences in daily life or work, she would instinctively seek to improve outcomes through technological solutions. Additionally, Xiong has an inherently restless nature, with a penchant for adventure and a love for tackling new challenges.

It took considerable courage for Xiong Shuirou to leave his coveted “iron rice bowl” position at the Jiangxi Post and Telecommunications Bureau in 2000 and move to Beijing to start a business. His first venture was in the real estate e-commerce sector; although his team quickly secured tens of millions of yuan in investment, it soon collapsed amid the dot-com bubble. A year later, he assembled a new team and pivoted to internet-based education, providing management training for enterprises. Subsequently, he crossed over into the healthcare industry, founding the Hejun Pharmaceutical and Health Salon. Through this platform, he became involved in the informatization of community hospitals, gradually gaining exposure to the pediatric vaccine and health checkup markets.

As a father of two, Xiong Shuirou has deeply felt the hardship of the entire family waking up early to queue for vaccinations, as well as the confusion involved in choosing vaccines. His original intention in creating the Super Vaccine Schedule was to leverage the internet to improve the existing vaccination experience. He positions the Super Vaccine Schedule with the promise of “transparent and effortless vaccinations.”

Super Vaccine Schedule was officially launched in April 2014. Initially, Super Vaccine Schedule emphasized its utility function, starting with intelligent vaccine reminders and public education on immunization. By collaborating with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and community hospitals to collect nationwide childhood vaccination schedules—including both Category I and Category II vaccines—the platform provides personalized vaccination plans based on a child’s age and location, enabling effective time management for vaccinations. The tool has established a database to address the significant information asymmetry surrounding vaccine knowledge, allowing parents to understand these complex topics and providing a convenient reference when selecting vaccines for their children.

Xiong Shuirou told VCBeat that the initial feedback on the Super Vaccine Schedule after its launch exceeded expectations, which greatly boosted the confidence of Xiong and his team. Moreover, users provided many constructive suggestions. “Our pioneering time-slot vaccine appointment system was developed based on parents’ recommendations,” Xiong explained. The model combining mobile appointments with dedicated service windows allows parents to select specific vaccination times according to their own schedules and their children’s daily routines, eliminating the hassle of queuing early in the morning at community hospitals. Meanwhile, hospital workflows have been optimized, leading to improved operational efficiency.

Currently, the Super Vaccine Table has added features such as online Q&A with experts and video classrooms. Xiong Shuirou stated that this still falls far short of his vision; they are now tackling the third major challenge by providing health management services for mothers and infants.

Following the launch of the Super Vaccine Schedule, vaccine manufacturers and vendors providing traditional Hospital Information Systems (HIS) for hospitals have also developed similar apps. Xiong Shuirou views this as a positive development, noting that community hospitals tend to be heavily influenced by administrative bureaucracy and conventional thinking. As more players enter the space, it will accelerate the understanding of mobile internet technologies among stakeholders across the industry chain.

“In the view of Xiong Shuirou, Super Vaccine Table is a completely independent third-party platform. The team carries no historical baggage and faces no administrative pressure, creating a highly complementary dynamic. Our goal is to continuously address the critical healthcare pain points of mothers and infants. For Super Vaccine Table, we never worry about competitors; what concerns us is whether we can meet the needs of parents and community hospitals.”

As for the business model, Xiong Shuirou was forthright: “We have different partners for both B2B and B2C segments. We are engaging in pharmaceutical company collaborations that everyone can think of, and we are also exploring those beyond conventional expectations.”
