According to statistics from VCBeat’s Internet Healthcare Research Institute’s investment and financing database, a total of 66 startup investment deals in the domestic internet healthcare sector were recorded between 2013 and 2014. A total of 58 investment institutions focused on the internet healthcare field, with their active investment occurrences reaching 91 times. The disclosed financing amount totaled $580 million.
In the first half of 2015 alone, financing for China’s internet healthcare sector reached nearly $800 million.
Not coincidentally, in 2015, healthcare had already become the most prominent sector within the “Internet Plus” initiative in recent years.
