HY Medical: The 'Special Forces' of Medical Imaging Files for IPO

At VCBeat’s special session on medical imaging, Chai Xiangfei, CEO of HY Medical, shared his team’s vision in the field of medical imaging. They have developed a third-party imaging consultation platform that integrates community tools with consulting services. By collaborating with hospitals in the initial phase, they aim to enhance physician engagement and build an independent third-party consultation platform. The company seeks to leverage big data to enable preliminary computer-aided interpretation of medical images, thereby achieving intelligent image reading on the platform and reducing the volume of routine manual interpretations.



Chai Xiangfei likens his product team to a “special forces unit,” not merely because it comprises members with strong software and medical backgrounds. If the field of medical imaging is viewed as a battlefield, some players are building “aircraft carriers,” while others are developing “fighter jets and tanks.” HY Medical’s imaging consultation business, however, encompasses a comprehensive range of areas—including underlying PACS development, overall software development, big data analytics, engagement with domestic and international physicians, and hospital market expansion—all of which are advanced simultaneously.
