DeepOmics is a startup that leverages machine learning and deep learning as its core technologies to analyze high-dimensional, complex multi-omics data and large-scale medical datasets. Its aim is to assist physicians in improving the accuracy of clinical cancer diagnosis and the efficiency of treatment. The founding team positions itself as a “high-tech data information technology company.”
The term “Omics” in Deep Omics originates from specialized terminology in bioinformatics, encompassing genomics, proteomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics, and other omics disciplines. DeepOmics leverages machine learning (deep learning) technologies and big data analytics platforms to analyze multi-omics data and large-scale medical datasets. It establishes intelligent applications for clinical decision support, prediction, and other data-driven analyses, enabling physicians to engage more conveniently and efficiently in clinical research, thereby advancing the diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and control of major chronic diseases such as cancer.
DeepOmics’ core technologies have a wide range of application areas. For instance, by analyzing multi-omics data alongside large-scale medical datasets, it can provide more comprehensive support to physicians in predicting and diagnosing certain types of cancer. Image recognition techniques and machine learning are applied to differentiate specific diseases, with medical image analysis software assisting doctors in making high-quality diagnostic judgments. In the realm of personalized medication, patients can receive effective treatments promptly, avoiding the trial-and-error approach of “testing drugs on oneself,” thereby reducing the incidence of adverse drug reactions and effectively lowering treatment costs. Furthermore, deep learning is utilized to process the vast databases of pharmaceutical companies, leveraging data from diverse sources to better identify compounds that can serve as “effective therapies for multiple refractory diseases.” This accelerates the drug discovery and development process while simultaneously reducing costs. Finally, DeepOmics helps the general public gain a better understanding of their own health and engage in more effective and beneficial health management.
DeepOmics represents the convergence of science and commerce, with its underlying technology already patented in the United States. To better realize and leverage the commercial value of machine learning and deep learning, the founding team brings together diverse expertise: a computer scientist from Yale University and a senior expert in machine learning and deep learning, who has published academic papers and delivered presentations in the prestigious journal Nature and at top-tier academic forums on machine learning and data mining, and also serves as a researcher at a renowned U.S. information technology research institute; a former senior business management consultant from a leading international management consulting firm, responsible for translating scientific achievements into commercial products to maximize their value and for expanding both domestic and international markets; and a former project manager from a major Chinese software company with a business school background, overseeing daily team operations and public relations.
Currently, the team is seeking financing.
