Teladoc Reports Strong Q3 2015 Financial Results with 83% Revenue Growth and Expanding Membership Base

 

On Tuesday, telehealth provider Teladoc announced its revenue for the third quarter ended September 30. Here are the key highlights:

1. Total revenue reached $20 million, representing an 83% year-on-year increase. Revenue from membership subscriptions and consultation fees increased by $17 million and $3 million, respectively, reflecting year-on-year growth of 78% and 122%.

2.Total membership reached 12.6 million, up 56% year-on-year from 8.1 million in the third quarter of last year;

3.Total visits reached 117,213, representing an 89% year-on-year increase from 61,929;

4.The gross profit margin has increased from 78% to 80%.

5.Previous operating losses were $13.2 million, which have now decreased to $4.5 million;

6.At the end of the third quarter of 2015, the total amount of cash, cash equivalents, and short-term investments in marketable securities was RMB 152 million;

7.It is expected that in the fourth quarter of 2015, the company's total revenue will reach $21 million to $22 million;

8.The company's total revenue for the full year 2015 is expected to be between $75.5 million and $76.5 million;
