With the widespread adoption of smart mobile devices, mobile internet applications have permeated every aspect of daily life. Mobile health (mHealth), an integration of the internet and healthcare services, has emerged as one of the most dynamic sectors today. mHealth offers significant convenience to both patients and physicians and plays a valuable role in supervising patients’ remote self-management.
The remote health management platform “U-Tang Health,” developed by Shanghai Youyi Network Technology Co., Ltd., has also garnered significant attention within the industry. U-Tang Health is a personal health management application primarily designed for post-diagnosis follow-up and remote health management of patients with diabetes. The platform mainly consists of two ends: the user end, named “U-Tang Health APP,” and the physician end, named “U-Tang Physician APP.”
In August 2015, the iOS and Android versions of U Tang Physician 3.0 were officially launched. The U Tang Physician APP is an application designed to assist physicians in managing patients with diabetes. By analyzing patient disease data, it establishes a closed-loop clinical management system encompassing online consultations, offline triage, offline treatment, and online follow-ups, thereby improving physicians’ diagnostic and treatment efficiency and alleviating outpatient clinic pressure.
Doctors and dietitians can also establish real-time interactions with diabetic patients on the U-Tang Doctor App, and create patient support groups while managing patients' conditions to facilitate disease management.
Physicians can manage their patients in real time via the U-Tang Physician App. Once engaged by a patient, the physician gains immediate access to the patient’s authentic daily records—including blood glucose monitoring, medication adherence, dietary intake, and physical activity—thereby providing data support for clinical diagnosis. Additionally, physicians can share their diagnostic and treatment expertise through educational columns, guiding patients toward proper disease management.
The U-Tang team possesses extensive experience in both traditional healthcare and the mobile internet sectors. Dedicated to R&D and innovation in mobile health, we prioritize user health needs and strive for superior user experience. Through continuous technological innovation and product enhancement, we are committed to the in-depth research and development of mobile health applications, facilitating the translation of more intelligent medical research achievements. We focus on health industry data acquisition, as well as advanced statistical analysis and modeling of medical data, to provide users with high-value self-care solutions and help them identify optimal strategies for disease prevention. By discovering and sharing practical health insights and experiences from both users and medical experts, we deliver enhanced value-added services to numerous healthcare institutions.
In the future, with the development and application of U-Tang’s comprehensive chronic disease management system, the U-Tang Physician APP is poised to become a dedicated personal health advisor for patients. This advancement will not only be highly significant for individual patients in managing their conditions but will also directly influence the future epidemiological trends of chronic diseases in China and the overall health status of the population. Furthermore, it will effectively improve patients’ healthcare experiences and foster greater harmony in doctor-patient relationships.
