On November 29, Chinese jewelry manufacturer “Jinyi Culture” and Shanghai Xinmai Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. jointly launched the world’s first health-focused smart ring—acare.
According to reports, this health smart ring integrates modern technologies such as intelligence and big data, combining jewelry with internet-based healthcare to monitor various human physiological parameters.
The index finger of the human body has major arteries running through it, offering a stable measurement site and simple physiological structures that facilitate analysis. Compared to currently popular smart bands, smart rings better address the challenges of long-term data collection due to improved user adherence.
The acare Health Smart Ring continuously monitors heart rate, electrodermal activity, body temperature, hydration levels, and blood pressure variations 24 hours a day. By integrating big data health services, it analyzes the user’s disease risk, fatigue levels, emotional state, sleep quality, and microcirculation, providing valuable recommendations to effectively improve the user’s health status.
“We have offloaded the bulk of our analytical and computational workloads to the cloud, enabling a compact and stylish product design while capturing precise physiological data, thereby addressing the challenge of securing data sources for big-data-driven health solutions. The acare smart health ring compiles collected physiological data into a real-time personal health database, which, through long-term data acquisition and analysis, can help predict health risks,” said Xu Xinyi, founder of Xinmai Technology.
It is understood that this ring can connect to smartphones and computers to view health analytics such as heart rate, blood pressure, cardiovascular status, sleep, and BMI. Additionally, through the app, users can follow community leaderboards for metrics like activity rankings, deep sleep rankings, and wear-time rankings, enabling them to compete with friends and family on these metrics and exchange insights on health management.
Zhong Cong, Chairman of Jinyi Culture, stated that acare will start with health and use connectivity to transform the lives of the older generation. The acare Health Smart Ring acts as a personal “private doctor,” monitoring parents’ health conditions 24 hours a day and building a health management platform for them. Through the acare Health Smart Ring, parents can leverage big data for health analysis and receive targeted recommendations based on valuable data insights to improve their health outcomes.
In the face of competing products such as Xiaomi Band and iWatch on the market, acare has its own unique features.
First, the acare Health Smart Ring differs in nature from other smart wearable products; it is a piece of smart jewelry. The acare Ring not only inherits the traditional decorative function of jewelry but also holds value for emotional expression and collection. Second, compared to currently popular smart bands, the acare Health Smart Ring better addresses the challenges of long-term data collection for users. This is because the index finger contains the proper digital artery (often referenced in this context as a key arterial pathway), offering a stable measurement site with a simple structure. In contrast, the wrist lacks major arteries close to the surface, resulting in an unstable measurement site and a more complex structure. Therefore, smart rings possess physiological advantages over smart bands and watches. Most importantly, compared to other smart products, the acare Ring is more focused on health management.
acare will build an intelligent personalized health service chain by establishing a health service ecosystem, a user service platform, and human-centric services. This will empower smart rings with functionalities such as virtual fitness coaching, health supplement recommendations, sub-health psychological counseling, and professional medical services. In terms of user services, it will enable personalized customization and second-hand trading.
“ACare’s smart health ring will place greater emphasis on user experience and the application of internet-centric thinking in the future. In the future, the ACare ring can collect personal health data to the cloud through 24/7 monitoring, establishing a personalized health management database that analyzes your health status in real time. The data from this database can serve as a reference for hospitals and healthcare providers,” stated Zhong Cong. “I believe this will be realized very soon.”
It is understood that acare’s next-generation products will be developed with a focus on personalized customization, intelligent design, upgradable chips, and smart systems. In the future, smart jewelry product lines—including wristwear, earrings, and necklaces—will be launched successively.
