During the public nomination phase for China’s inaugural Internet Healthcare Leaders List, VCBeat received thousands of project submissions. However, after screening by the VCBeat editorial team and VBInsight, only nearly 200 startups and entrepreneurs made the final list.
After voting officially opened on January 11, VCBeat received extensive feedback, including comments on the voting experience and reports of inaccuracies in certain company profiles. To facilitate a smoother voting process for all participants,VCBeat has decided to add the “Wenjuanxing” voting platform, and votes cast on WeChat will be included in the final tally.
To prevent vote manipulation, and as recommended by the platform, we require all participants to log in via WeChat before casting their votes.To avoid disturbing ordinary users, we do not require them to follow VCBeat in order to vote.
A special note to those visiting VCBeat for the first time: we are a platform dedicated to serving entrepreneurship and innovation in internet healthcare. This list comprises approximately 50 companies, all of which are estimated to have valuations exceeding $100 million based on publicly disclosed financing amounts. These enterprises are experiencing rapid growth within their respective sectors and demonstrate the potential to dominate their niche markets. There is a high probability that unicorns will appear on this list.
2. Most Watched Emerging Enterprises List (Valuation: $10 Million - $100 Million)

This list focuses on startups in a phase of rapid growth. A total of 90 companies have been shortlisted; most have completed one to two rounds of financing and show promising prospects, yet still face significant uncertainties. This represents the largest cohort on the list.
3. Top Startups List (Valuation Under $10 Million)

Approximately 50 companies have been shortlisted for this ranking. Although we explicitly stated during the nomination process that startups are defined as those with a valuation of less than $10 million, this figure serves only as a general reference, given the difficulty in standardizing valuations for such enterprises. Therefore, the primary criterion remains the overall excellence of the project, encompassing its strategic direction, innovativeness, team quality, and practical execution capabilities.
4. Top Doctor Entrepreneurs List (Physician Entrepreneurship)

This is a rather distinctive ranking, as the VCBeat editorial team and VCBeat Research have singled out physician entrepreneurship into its own category. This is because, in the field of internet healthcare, the nature of medicine differs significantly from that of most other industries; those well-versed in medical regulations are often better positioned to identify critical pain points. Physicians constitute a core group within internet healthcare, and their awakening and active engagement are key to the sector’s entry into deeper, more complex stages of development.
For this Internet Healthcare Leaders Ranking, given that internet healthcare remains an emerging sector—with most startups yet to go public and few having advanced beyond Series D funding—we place greater emphasis on the growth trajectory of these ventures and their contributions to transforming healthcare.

Investment-related rankings are scored directly without voting.
Voting for the Doctor and Hospital Rankings Begins Next Week
The Internet Healthcare Power List includes three investment-related rankings: Best Investment Firm, Best Investor, and Rising Star Investor. Following the public nomination phase, the editorial team at VCBeat and the VBInsight Research Institute analyzed factors such as the number of investments, investment amounts, and portfolio company development for each firm and investor. Based on this analysis, the investment firms and investors advanced directly to the final scoring stage, bypassing public voting. In contrast, voting for the Physician and Hospital categories will officially commence next Monday.
As this is the inaugural edition of the ranking, although we have received strong support from numerous industry professionals who provided extensive nominations for startups, investment firms, physicians, and hospitals, there are inevitably some omissions in this emerging field. Many startups, investment deals, and medical institutions remain undisclosed. We sincerely apologize to those enterprises that were not included in the candidate list and warmly encourage all startups, investment firms, physicians, and hospitals to contact and communicate with the Organizing Committee of the VCBeat Internet Healthcare Influential Rankings.
Selection Rules for the Internet Medical and Health Power List
1. All candidates in this selection process will be ranked according to their final scores.
2. Candidate’s Total Score = Voting Score + VCBeat & VBInsight Rating
Voting scores account for 20%, while VCBeat & VBInsight ratings account for 80%.
3. Votes are assigned different point values based on the candidate’s ranking within each individual leaderboard, according to the following rules:
Those ranking in the top 10% among all candidates on the respective leaderboard shall receive a score of 20 points;
Candidates ranking in the top 10%-30% of their respective list by vote count shall receive a score of 15 points;
Candidates ranking in the top 30%–50% of their respective leaderboard by vote count shall receive a score of 10 points;
The remaining candidates each received a score of 5 points.
If the number of candidates is not an integer, the 10% calculation shall be rounded to the nearest whole number. For example, if there are 47 candidates, the top five vote-getters receive 20 points; if there are 64 candidates, the top six vote-getters receive 20 points. Candidates’ rankings in the voting shall be determined by the higher rank rather than the lower one. For instance, with 52 candidates, the candidate ranked 17th by votes receives 15 points, and the candidate ranked 26th by votes receives 10 points.
4. VCBeat Internet Research Institute Ratings: Based on the industry database accumulated by VCBeat, various rankings are evaluated across multiple dimensions.
For the "Best Doctors" ranking, key metrics include the volume, frequency, and quality of doctor-patient communication, while also considering the influence and reputation of their affiliated platforms. The "Most Watched Companies" are evaluated based on indicators such as product updates, team optimization, financing status, and the number of major events with significant social impact.
