Recently, Marin General Hospital (California, USA) and Philips signed a 15-year partnership agreement worth $90 million, covering clinical informatics, patient monitoring, telehealth, and imaging.
Philips management stated that they would also provide clinical education, consulting, and service design under the agreement.
“As an independent community hospital, we have made a prudent decision. We will partner with Philips to implement a forward-looking initiative leveraging the latest digital health technologies, while simultaneously delivering unexpected experiences to our patients,” said Mark Zielazinski, CIO of Marin General, in a statement.
This is the third agreement of its kind signed by Philips. A Philips executive stated that this agreement would encourage other healthcare institutions to join the trend of high-tech healthcare. Another New York-based healthcare institution, Valhalla, has entered into a larger partnership with Philips, valued at $500 million.
