Zhongruiqi is an internet-based mobile platform dedicated to remote cardiac health management. It has independently developed the “Good Friend” series of hardware products and a mobile app, providing professional cardiac health management services to a broad population of patients with heart disease.
According to statistics, China had 270 million patients with cardiovascular diseases by 2013. One person dies from cardiovascular disease every 10 seconds, and 90% of these deaths are due to sudden cardiac events, half of which result in sudden cardiac death. Moreover, chronic conditions such as hypertension and diabetes are closely linked to cardiovascular diseases. Alarming data reveal that among the approximately 200 million hypertensive patients in China, 80% have concurrent coronary heart disease; among the 100 million diabetic patients in the country, more than 75% die from cardiovascular complications. In response to these severe health challenges, Zhongruiqi has developed a home-use electrocardiogram (ECG) device. This device addresses the limitations of current hospital-based ECG examinations by overcoming critical drawbacks such as delayed disease monitoring, lack of historical data, and inability to track treatment progress. It enables doctors and patients to detect condition changes early, respond proactively to sudden cardiac events, and reduce cardiac mortality rates.
Zhongruiqi’s hardware products include a 12-lead medical series primarily used in hospitals and healthcare institutions to extract, display, record, and review ECG waveforms from patients requiring monitoring. Its home-use 8-lead ECG acquisition box features leading-edge, large-scale integrated specialized ECG chips and high-precision digital filtering technology, offering standard external anti-interference capabilities. Adhering to the same professional technical standards as hospital-grade 12-lead ECG machines, its results are suitable for clinical diagnosis and research. In addition to these medical and home-use product lines designed for patients, Zhongruiqi also offers a single-lead ECG monitor within its Sub-health Series for the general population. This device supports comprehensive health assessments for individuals in sub-optimal health states, providing multifunctional applications such as stress management, fatigue analysis, and sleep monitoring.
Not limited to smart hardware, Zhongruiqi has also established the Haopengyou Cardiac Health Management System, which comprises three components: an ECG acquisition box, intelligent ECG interpretation software, and a health service platform.
Within this management system, users collect data using compatible hardware, which is automatically transmitted to a mobile app or PC client and then uploaded to the backend server. After professional data analysis, the backend generates an analytical report and automatically provides feedback to the patient, reminding them to take medication or educating them on maintaining healthy lifestyle habits. In cases of severe condition, the analysis results are also sent to the patient’s family members and physician to request remote assistance. Leveraging Zhongruiqi’s app or PC-based interactive platform, patients can also proactively engage in doctor-patient or patient-patient communications with hospital physicians.
Zhongruiqi’s cardiac health management system has also gained recognition and support from the Alibaba Cloud platform. On September 17, 2015, Alibaba Cloud, together with Zhongruiqi and Jinwei Health, announced a tripartite collaboration to launch the “Cloud-Based Peace of Mind” chronic disease management platform project. By integrating community hospitals, tertiary general hospitals, medical hardware manufacturers, healthcare mobile applications, health examination centers, and providers of healthcare analytics models, the initiative aggregates and connects dispersed health and medical data—with patients’ informed consent and authorization—to enable precision medicine through data-driven insights.
Yunshang Anxin Chronic Disease Management Platform primarily serves patients with conditions such as heart disease, hypertension, and diabetes. It emphasizes a triple-tiered system comprising hospital management, attending physician oversight, and patient self-management. The platform enables patients to consult healthcare providers anytime and anywhere, allowing physicians to promptly address abnormal health indicators, thereby improving patient adherence and enhancing the efficiency of chronic disease control. This integrated chronic disease management network, consisting of patient-facing, physician-facing, and hospital PC-based interfaces, is widely applicable across various settings, including primary healthcare institutions, health management companies, and private hospitals and clinics. It is also suitable for managing other chronic conditions and postoperative care.
In the context of big data applications in healthcare, the vast amount of electrocardiogram (ECG) data accumulated by Cloud-based Anxin Future also has significant utility: in clinical diagnosis, cloud-based backend analysis helps improve diagnostic accuracy; recommending big data insights to offline institutions in need enables precise targeting of specific patient populations; furthermore, it facilitates scientific research and analysis by conducting in-depth medical analyses on populations with different disease characteristics. Wu Kai, Senior Product Expert at Alibaba Cloud, stated that the Cloud-based Anxin Alliance will center on ECG data, integrating hospital biochemical indicators, diagnostic data, out-of-hospital ECG and blood glucose data, as well as other fragmented data such as vital signs and physical activity, to achieve the goal of precision medicine.
Zhongruiqi’s future revenue model encompasses ECG machines, software service fees, sales of accessories and consumables, and operations of the Anxin Network integrated service platform. The company has now transitioned from the initial R&D stage to a rapid growth phase focused on market promotion, with plans to launch its initial public offering (IPO) within five years.
