First Forum of the Year: Integrating Chronic Disease Management with Insurance – Innovations in Diabetes Education and Payment Models

To better explore models integrating insurance with the management of chronic diseases such as diabetes, the inaugural“Summit on Innovative Payment Models for Diabetes Education and Management”The event will bring together renowned domestic experts in diabetes academia, education, and management; leaders from relevant departments of insurance industry research organizations; as well as media representatives, pharmaceutical company delegates, mobile health entrepreneurs, and capital institution representatives to explore the various possibilities of “innovative payment models for diabetes education and management.”

This forum is organized by “Education and Management Group, Diabetes Branch of the Chinese Medical AssociationInitiated and hosted by Health News Mobile Health Research Institute, co-hosted by VCBeat, and exclusively organized by “Pocket Diabetes Doctor.” The forum aims to promote in-depth exchanges among all parties, foster collaborative partnerships, and explore future joint development, ultimately pooling broad resources to gradually implement and refine the social support system for diabetes education and management in China through innovative payment models.

The Chairman of the Beijing Diabetes Prevention and Control Association graduated from the Department of Medical Nutrition, Qingdao University Medical College. He currently serves as the Head of the Department of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition at Peking Union Medical College Hospital and holds a Master’s degree in Endocrinology. As an Associate Chief Physician and Master’s Supervisor at Peking Union Medical College, he also holds several prominent positions: Vice Chairman of the Nutrition Physicians Professional Committee under the Chinese Medical Doctor Association; Vice Chairman of the Clinical Nutrition Branch of the Chinese Nutrition Society; Deputy Leader of the Geriatrics Group and Vice Chairman of the Youth Committee of the Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition Branch of the Chinese Medical Association. He has participated in national research projects during the 10th, 11th, and 12th Five-Year Plan periods. He has published more than 20 academic papers, including six indexed by SCI, and has authored nearly 20 popular science books.

Zhang Suyang

Mr. Zhang Suyang, a Partner at IDG Capital, joined the firm in 1994. Deputy General Manager of Ping An Pension Insurance & Investment Company of China, Ltd. Born in November 1967, he graduated from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. He possesses extensive work experience in the healthcare industry, IT, and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), along with profound expertise in IT, healthcare project management, and team management. Since July 2013, he has served as Deputy General Manager of Ping An Pension Insurance, overseeing the company’s Health Insurance Division.
