Israel-based Sweetch Secures $3.5 Million in Series A FundingSweetch, a company headquartered in Israel, recently raised $3.5 million in its Series A financing round. The company has developed a software solution dedicated to the diagnosis of diabetes risk. This software not only predicts the likelihood of developing the disease for potential patients but also helps individuals who are already affected but unaware of their condition to understand their health status. The round was led by the crowdfunding platform OurCrowd.
The funding will be used to expand into international markets, leveraging big data for diabetes risk diagnosis.
Sweetch stated that the funding would be used to expand into the Israeli and U.S. markets. Users can access information on balanced diets and wellness through its software, with the company aiming to help users adopt healthy lifestyles and improve their quality of life.
The software analyzes user-entered data using big data analytics to assess disease risk and provides personalized guidance on daily health habits based on individual physical conditions, thereby helping to prevent disease onset.
Currently, the company is actively applying for a patent for this software. The OurCrowd website stated that Johns Hopkins Medicine used this software earlier this year when conducting medical examinations for pilots.
The founding team has deep industry expertise, and the next round of financing may be secured in the near future.
A medical center that is establishing a digital health accelerator program stated that the institution and its partner, the Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures Foundation, have prioritized investing in Sweetch.
