At the 18th China Southern International Cardiovascular Academic Conference in Guangzhou, Taiping General Insurance, Munich Re, and China Merchants Haida Youzhibao jointly launched the “Stable Pressure Worry-Free” insurance product. As the first hypertension insurance product in China to integrate online and offline services, it covers complications arising from hypertension and provides 24-hour medical-grade monitoring for hypertensive patients.
The services of this insurance are provided by the internet healthcare projects “Yijia Kangtai & Yiyun Kangtai.” Based on the needs of hypertensive patients and current market conditions, Yijia Kangtai & Yiyun Kangtai aim to integrate pre-disease, during-disease, and post-disease services for hypertensive patients, helping them address their concerns.
It is understood that the "Stable Pressure Worry-Free" insurance product offers a maximum coverage amount of RMB 100,000. Individuals aged 25 to 50 with hypertension are eligible for enrollment, and a lump-sum payment is made immediately upon diagnosis. In addition to covering four high-incidence complications—sequelae of stroke, hypertensive heart disease requiring transplantation, end-stage renal disease, and aortic dissection aneurysm—patients with hypertension can also access comprehensive hypertension management services through the Yijia Kangtai & Yiyun Kangtai internet-based medical management platform. Leveraging mobile internet technology, this platform provides patients with 24-hour medical-grade monitoring and guidance for hypertension. It enables patients to engage in self-health management using the medical resources and services offered, thereby reducing the likelihood of complications through an integrated approach combining prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Furthermore, by activating the coverage features of the "Stable Pressure Worry-Free" insurance, an additional layer of protection is provided to hypertension patients. This creates a closed-loop service model for hypertension management, spanning from prevention and treatment to medical insurance coverage, truly achieving "worry-free blood pressure stability."
“Yijia Kangtai & Yiyun Kangtai” stated that the rapid development of mobile healthcare service platforms has strengthened the confidence of the three parties in launching hypertension insurance. The cross-sector collaboration between commercial insurance and mobile healthcare not only optimizes services but also effectively reduces risks and expenditures for all parties involved, enabling them to allocate more effective resources to better serve patients and users.
