Recently, Beijing Shangqi Haokang Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “37 Health”) reached a cooperation agreement with Sinopharm Health Online Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Sinopharm Online”), whereby Sinopharm Online will provide pharmaceutical purchase and delivery services to nearly 4 million users of the Blood Pressure Manager APP under 37 Health.
37Healthy User+Yuwell Smart Blood Pressure Monitor+Sinopharm Online's Medicine Sales Platform=Profitability Loop
This collaboration with Sinopharm Online marks another partnership between 37 Health and an industry giant since it received strategic investment from Yuwell Medical, achieving a closed-loop chronic disease management system encompassing patient management, physician consultations, smart hardware, and medication purchasing.
Dai Wanhui, CEO of 37 Health, believes that since its launch, the Blood Pressure Manager app has accumulated industry-leading user data. By leveraging models such as smart hardware co-developed with Yuwell and collaborations with online contracted physicians, the platform serves a vast number of hypertensive patients while continuously enhancing user experience. However, for individuals with hypertension, the demand for medications is the most substantial. While a blood pressure monitor can be used for several years, medications require continuous intake, resulting in recurring consumption. Therefore, from an operational perspective for chronic disease management companies, there is immense growth potential in the pharmaceutical sector.
For Sinopharm Online, the Blood Pressure Manager app has achieved 4 million downloads and nearly 1 million monthly active users, a significant portion of whom are long-term users of antihypertensive medications. The app provides Sinopharm Online with a precisely targeted customer base for hypertension drugs. These customers exhibit a high average order value and maintain stable, recurring purchases, representing a high-quality user segment for pharmaceutical e-commerce that can generate substantial drug procurement orders for Sinopharm Online.
Sinopharm Online is the pharmaceutical e-commerce platform under China National Pharmaceutical Group and the most capable pharmaceutical service platform in China. Since its establishment in June 2015, it has partnered with major industry players, including Guahao.com and Ali Health.
Gradually Improve the Service Closed Loop
It is reported that 37 Health recently launched its first hardware product, a smart blood pressure monitor with an independent operating screen. This marks 37 Health’s official expansion from a community platform focused on hypertension data management into the smart hardware sector.
It is reported that Blood Pressure Manager, which has been on the market for nearly eight months, has surpassed 1 million downloads. This represents a strong performance within the highly specialized segment of hypertensive patients. According to backend statistics, users input data an average of 3.5 times per day on the platform. In Dai Wanhui’s announcement this afternoon regarding the Health Cloud Platform strategic plan, 37 Health will open up these data resources and provide API access services to third-party developers. The hardware products it has launched are also part of its open platform ecosystem. For the 37 Smart Blood Pressure Monitor, 37 Health will offer embedded cooperation at the system software level to third-party health and medical software providers.
In addition to serving hypertensive patients, 37 Health will also attempt to integrate physician resources. According to Dai Wanhui, the upcoming version 3.0 of its Blood Pressure Manager will launch a dedicated app for physicians. Beyond relatively lightweight self-management, the introduction of physician resources will steer the 37 Health platform toward more “substantive” services, such as physician Q&A and even online consultations.
From the launch of smart hardware to the integration of physician resources, 37 Health is also gradually perfecting its closed-loop service ecosystem.
