Xie Cheng, Founder and CEO of JuJia Doctor, introduced that since its launch in March 2015, Spring Rain Living Room Healthcare, as one of the pioneers in the living room healthcare sector, has achieved over one million installations. Guided by national policies on home-based elderly care, the revamped “JuJia Doctor” will collaborate with channels such as Gehua Cable and leverage smart hardware and other devices to further improve home-based medical services for middle-aged and elderly people in China, starting with comprehensive hypertension management.
In recent years, chronic diseases have become the leading cause of death and disability worldwide, imposing a substantial social and economic burden. Given their insidious onset and prolonged course, scientific prevention and control measures can effectively alleviate their impact. To facilitate access to authentic and reliable health and wellness information for middle-aged and older adults, and to empower patients with chronic conditions to manage their diseases effectively, Spring Rain Living Room Medical has officially launched version 6.1, rebranded as “JuJia Doctor.” This update introduces a series of services aimed at building a new ecosystem for home-based healthcare tailored to the middle-aged and elderly population.
At the press conference, Ju Jia Doctor and Gehua Cable announced a strategic partnership. Through this platform, Ju Jia Doctor will reach 5.6 million households in Beijing. Gehua TV users in Beijing can access a variety of health services, including telephone medical consultations, health education, and hypertension management, via the “Ju Jia Doctor” client on the Gehua Health Channel.
According to Xie Cheng, given JuJia Doctor’s positioning in home-based healthcare and its target demographic of middle-aged and elderly individuals, the platform has prioritized the development of a curated collection of health education videos recorded and selected by medical experts. “Currently, health-related information available through various channels is fragmented and complex, with many claims lacking clear origins and scientific basis. Leveraging the Chunyu Doctor platform, JuJia Doctor has assembled a large pool of high-quality physicians dedicated to science communication, thereby ensuring that its health education content is both scientifically sound and reliable.”
Xie Cheng introduced that Dr. Jujia has launched a comprehensive, end-to-end hypertension management service to develop personalized blood pressure-lowering plans for patients. After scheduling the service, a medical assistant from Dr. Jujia will visit the patient’s home to provide instruction on using blood pressure monitoring devices, deliver health education, and conduct comprehensive assessments such as ambulatory blood pressure monitoring. Subsequently, physicians will access the patient’s health data via the cloud platform and deliver targeted professional medical services, including medication guidance, data interpretation, and verified health education.
Xie Cheng specifically pointed out that the JuJia Doctor hypertension full-process service also adopts ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, which can effectively avoid the shortcomings of traditional blood pressure measurement methods. For instance, some patients with mild hypertension may experience delayed diagnosis because their blood pressure rises only at certain times, and they are unable to time their medication appropriately according to peak fluctuations in blood pressure.
Xie Cheng believes that the advantages of Jujia Hypertension Doctors are mainly reflected in chronic disease education for users. They can also provide users with long-term exclusive doctors, accumulate long-term data to facilitate accurate judgment of user conditions by doctors, and offer professional physician assistant services, allowing users to enjoy medical health services from the comfort of their homes. He revealed that after implementing full-process hypertension services, Jujia Doctors plans to launch home-based care services for other chronic diseases such as diabetes and hyperlipidemia in May.
