Recently, the second session of the salon themed “Think Like a Layman, Practice Like an Expert,” hosted by the Medical Alliance, was successfully held in the studio on the fourth floor of the Binding Building on Yuquan Road, Haidian District. The event received support from multiple media outlets, including Phoenix Health, VCBeat, Beike Society, Youku’s “Chinese Fashion” program, and Life Times.
The salon attracted enthusiastic participation from 120 members of the Medical Alliance. Four investment and financing experts specializing in mobile healthcare were invited: Ma Yongjie, Investment Director at WoYan Capital; Xie Yibo, Investment Director at Minzu Securities; Su Bochuan, Investment Director at the Internet Healthcare China Association; and Ding Jiaqi, Analyst at iResearch. They provided insightful commentary and valuable recommendations on five mobile healthcare pitch projects: Yidan Electronic Medical Records, Yikang Medical Consultation, Smart Medicine Box, Digital Certification, and Daxiang Medical Consultation. Attendees, including industry practitioners, analysts, and project presenters, engaged in in-depth interactions and dynamic discussions regarding each project’s highlights, business opportunities, and future prospects. The event featured lively interaction and a relaxed, engaging atmosphere, prompting profound reflection among both presenters and attendees, all of whom felt the experience was truly worthwhile.

Small Medicine Chest, Big Market
The salon kicked off with a presentation by Mr. Liu Quan, founder of Smart Medicine Box. Under the title “Leveraging Drug Traceability Codes to Build a Medication Service and Points-Based Promotion System,” Mr. Liu elaborated on three key pain points: pharmaceutical manufacturers’ lack of visibility into patient locations, pharmacies’ limited insight into customers’ medication purchasing needs, and patients’ shortage of professional medication support. He provided a detailed analysis of Smart Medicine Box’s business philosophy, product design, user profiling, and usage scenarios, explaining how the platform aims to drive a “Medicine Box Revolution” by shifting the current drug distribution model from being “channel-centric” to “user-centric.”

On the Implementation and Monetization of Mobile Health
Shao Shengyi, Co-founder of Yikang Medical Consultation, elaborated on the theme “Yikang Medical Consultation: Experts in Corporate Healthcare and Urban Hospital Services.” Addressing the current state of healthcare in China and the dilemmas patients face when seeking medical care, he discussed various aspects ranging from the uneven distribution of medical resources to the utilization and monetization of big medical data, outlining Yikang’s ambitious roadmap toward building a future healthcare empire—a vision that inspires both admiration and imagination.
The Link Between Electronic Medical Records and Chronic Disease Management
Feng Jun, founder of Nanjing Yidan Electronic Medical Records, entered the market by focusing on the niche sector of electronic medical records (EMR). His presentation, titled “Linking Information Silos through EMRs for Chronic Disease Management,” sparked widespread reflection among the audience by posing an engaging question: which is more difficult, achieving interoperability among EMR systems or landing on the moon? As Mr. Feng proceeded with his insightful, step-by-step analysis, the discussion gradually unfolded. He concluded by expressing his confidence and determination in the EMR market, stating his ambition to build “China’s Practice Fusion” in the EMR space.

Mobile Healthcare Requires Electronic Signatures
The application of electronic signatures—a policy-protected sector—within the mobile healthcare industry, its significance to the industry’s development, and its implementation strategies constituted a novel topic for the more than 100 entrepreneurs and practitioners in attendance. It also emerged as one of the highlights and focal points of this salon. Ma Jie, COO of Beijing Certificate Authority Co., Ltd., shared insights on digital certification. During her concise 20-minute presentation, the audience listened attentively, captivated by the freshness and value of her remarks and careful not to miss any detail. Reportedly, Beijing Certificate Authority reached preliminary cooperation intentions with several entrepreneurs after the event—an outcome unforeseen by the organizers.
Gaining Insights into the New Ecosystem of Future Healthcare
Elephant Care, a mobile healthcare initiative under the Neusoft Medical ecosystem focused on medical services, was presented by its CMO, Mr. Yu Hui. He shared with the audience Elephant Care’s strategic vision for the future healthcare ecosystem and its commercial roadmap. Leveraging Neusoft’s advantageous resources of thousands of contracted hospitals, Elephant Care’s business model, once fully implemented, could become one of the fastest-monetizing projects in the industry.
Co-organized by communities including Internet China Club, Internet Medical College, Cloud Health News, and Pointing the Way to Medical Care, with Benlai Life as the tea break sponsor. As the salon drew to a close, the founder of the Medical Alliance outlined plans and directions for the third session in late May, focusing on intelligent hardware, and invited everyone to reconvene at the next salon.
