On April 28, the 2016 Global Mobile Internet Conference (GMIC) kicked off at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. Themed “Mobile Infinity,” the event drew tens of thousands of industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals from the mobile internet sector to engage in in-depth discussions on how mobile internet is positively transforming the world. As a key segment of GMIC Beijing 2016, G-Startup brought together the world’s most innovative startup pioneers, cutting-edge thought leaders, groundbreaking products, and visionary investors, becoming a focal point of attention for the global mobile internet industry.
Notably, First Video’s (00082.HK) “Yihu Daojia” app successfully advanced to the G-Startup Top 10 and, after intense competition in the semifinals and finals, ultimately won the runner-up prize at the 2016 GMIC G-Startup Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, along with a $20,000 cash award.

Over 150 Teams Worldwide Compete, Marking the Fiercest Competition in History
As a key segment of GMIC Beijing 2016, the G-Startup Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition has become the world’s most geek-spirited platform. Since its inception in 2011, it has successfully held five editions, attracting over a thousand participating projects. Reportedly, the competition has identified more than ten outstanding startup teams, including Didi Chuxing and Wandoujia, and helped them secure tens of millions of dollars in financing.
According to the head of Great Wall Club, the organizer of GMIC, more than 150 innovative teams, including the “Nurse Home” app, competed in this year’s competition, making it “unprecedentedly” fierce. As the number of participants exceeded the organizers’ expectations, the originally scheduled announcement of the Top 50 list had to be postponed. “To date, the G-Startup Global Competition has received registrations from over 150 teams. Due to the large number of participants, the release of both the Top 50 and Top 10 lists has been delayed.”
After more than a month of competition, the “Huyi Daojia” APP successfully ranked among the top ten G-Startup finalists, becoming the only mobile healthcare project to break into the top 10.

“Currently, there are over 1,500 nurses in Beijing. On average across the city’s urban districts, there are 10 to 15 nurses within every three kilometers. Patients can book appointments at any time on the ‘Huyi Daojia’ platform, similar to hailing a ride on Didi Chuxing. Nurses will accept assignments within 10 seconds, and the price for each home visit has dropped to as low as RMB 70,” said Wei Guilei, Chief Operating Officer of Huyi Daojia.

In December 2015, “Nurses at Home” joined forces with over 1,000 nurses from top-tier (Grade III Class A) hospitals—including Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Peking University People’s Hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, Nanfang Hospital, and Shanghai Ruijin Hospital—to establish China’s first nurse collective, the Grade III Class A Nurses Group.
It is reported that "Hushi Daojia" is China’s first mobile medical and health information service platform. With the mission of building a global medical and health information service platform, it offers a range of health services—including in-home nursing, appointment registration and accompaniment, medication delivery, traditional Chinese medicine physiotherapy, chronic disease follow-up visits, overseas medical treatment, caregiver and confinement nanny services, and lactation consulting—thereby reshaping the healthcare ecosystem. Notably, its "In-Home Nursing" service is part of a national pilot project for internet-based medical and elderly care services. Currently, nearly 5,000 certified registered nurses are available to provide in-home nursing services such as injections, intravenous infusions, dressing changes, blood sampling, catheterization, nasogastric feeding, and sputum suction across 156 large and medium-sized cities nationwide.

According to the head of “Yihu Daojia” (Medical and Nursing Care at Home), the market potential for the platform extends far beyond its current scope. The company is committed to continuously refining a closed-loop health service ecosystem that encompasses home nursing visits, appointment registration and accompaniment services, medication delivery, and overseas medical care, thereby providing patients and their families with global medical and health information services. “Although we have been operational for only five months, our monthly transaction volume has already approached RMB 3 million. In the coming quarter, we are considering a spin-off financing round to accelerate user base expansion and enhance brand influence.”
