In his speech at the Second World Internet Conference, President Xi Jinping stated, “Information technology, represented by the internet, is advancing at a breathtaking pace. Due to the unique nature of the healthcare sector and the complexity of its industrial structure, the internetization of healthcare remains in a relatively nascent stage compared with other industries. In fact, internet-based healthcare has already established a foundation for development in terms of policy, social, and technological environments. With the successive introduction of top-level strategies such as “Internet Plus” and “Healthy China,” the deepening of medical reforms, the increasingly prominent societal demand for healthcare services, and the continuous improvement of the online environment and technology, the industry has entered a period of rapid growth since 2014.
At this juncture, on the healthcare stage in Henan Province, Yixuntong, as the sole doctor-patient communication center initiated by the Henan Provincial Health and Family Planning Commission (formerly the Henan Provincial Department of Health), has completed a comprehensive platform upgrade following seven years of strategic layout from 2009 to the present.Leveraging the WeClinic platform, physicians and physician groups provide patients with convenient online medical information services.Healthcare entities such as the Health Commission, medical insurance systems, and pharmacies have embraced the tiered diagnosis and treatment policy under the new healthcare reform.
