Guangdong Libin Medical Technology Co., Ltd. was established in August 2015. The company is dedicated to providing users with robot-assisted home care solutions. Libin has engaged in technical collaborations at various levels with numerous renowned research institutes and robotics companies, both domestically and internationally. Starting with the “Lebin” robot, the company targets home hospital beds, offering diverse human-computer interaction services such as high-definition large screens, voice recognition, and video capabilities. The company provides professional medical nursing services alongside financial and insurance services to meet the insurance needs of other family members, with services extendable to domestic housekeeping.

Designed to address the mismatch in medical resources, Concierge provides comprehensive home nursing services for mid-to-high-end clients.

In recent years, China’s population aging has accelerated. In 2014, the number of people aged 60 and above reached 212 million, with 137 million aged 65 and above. Meanwhile, the incidence of chronic diseases has been rising steadily, with nearly 300 million people affected by cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. While public health awareness is gradually improving, medical institutions and professional personnel remain limited in resources, and there is a particular scarcity of specialized elderly care and nursing resources. It is evident that, on one hand, demand for medical resources is continuously growing, while on the other hand, these resources are in short supply. Libang’s medical robot service series aims to address the mismatch between patient demand and medical resource availability.

The concierge company primarily offers the following three services to its clients:

▪ The concierge robot provides customers with services including remote consultations, offline appointment scheduling, premium health checkups, and post-prognosis care.

Professional caregivers need only assist the robot in administering necessary tests and providing routine care to patients. This approach significantly reduces healthcare costs.

• Concierge robots are deployed in hospital lobbies to guide patients.

Concierge medical robots can also be deployed in hospitals to greet visitors and guide patients. Furthermore, these robots can analyze patient medical record data and upload it to the cloud, providing a convenient solution for physicians to manage patient information.

• Insurance Services of Concierge Companies

The concierge company is actively collaborating with the insurance sector to jointly design critical illness medical insurance products, which are segmented based on disease types and care categories.

The integration of robotics, future insurance, future communities, and future hospitals aims to advance the development of the medical and elderly care sectors.

Regarding the integration of future insurance, future communities, and future hospitals, Zhou Quansheng, Founder and CEO of Concierge Medical Care, stated that, at a superficial level, the Concierge Medical Robot project is a technology-oriented internet healthcare initiative with robots as the terminal interface. However, upon deeper examination, the project is essentially part of the medical elderly care and social security sectors, aligned with national policies.

• Future Hospital

By leveraging robotic systems to transform the current state of healthcare services, we are ushering in the era of the "future hospital," with the primary goal of extending hospital care beyond its physical walls.

• Future Community

The concept of "future communities" is defined from the perspective of elderly care, aiming to transform ordinary residential communities into age-friendly living environments. Given China’s large elderly population, it is not feasible to accommodate all seniors in nursing homes. The promotion of future communities has driven the development of the domestic elderly care industry.

• Future Insurance

China’s medical insurance system comprises three components: basic medical insurance, critical illness insurance, and commercial supplementary medical insurance. Both international experience and domestic advocacy suggest that, beyond post-hospitalization reimbursement, insurers should place greater emphasis on health management and disease prevention. This shift aligns with the service-oriented direction of insurance products. The future of insurance in concierge medicine aims to front-load services, thereby expanding the scope of medical insurance coverage. Zhou Quansheng stated, “We believe that through our concierge medicine platform, we can enhance the delivery of preventive healthcare services integrated with both social and commercial insurance.”

Advanced Robotic Operating System Streamlines Patient Visit Process

The concierge robot service solution targets mid-to-high-end clients, integrating the robot with a companion mobile app to streamline the patient care journey. For medical consultations, patients submit triage requests via the robot or the associated mobile app, specifying their desired department (e.g., Oncology, Cardiology, Gastroenterology) and preferred appointment time. Typically, outpatient appointments are scheduled within 3–8 days, while inpatient admissions are arranged within 5–14 days. Based on the patient’s specified department, the backend system automatically matches and filters 3–5 renowned specialists, proactively pushing these recommendations to the patient. The patient then prioritizes the specialists according to preference. A health management specialist proactively contacts the patient based on the service order, confirms the patient’s condition, finalizes the specialist selection, and sends detailed information including the appointment time, hospital department, and important instructions. Throughout this process, the health management specialist provides full accompaniment during the medical visit and offers personalized consultation advice based on the patient’s condition. This suite of services is applicable to eugenics and optimal childbearing, pediatric inpatient care, oncology treatment, stroke treatment, and uremia treatment.

Concierge services also offer extended features, which are integrated with the companion concierge robot.Within the app, its services include setting up rehabilitation plans for users, daily health assessments, online doctor consultations, home-based care, Member Day events, and bite-sized health education courses.

The concierge robot utilizes the Concierge OS, an operating system jointly developed by Concierge and institutions under the Institute of Computing Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. This system is built upon ROS (Robot Operating System), an internationally advanced robotic operating system. The series of robots is named “Le Pion.” Regarding the origin of the name, Zhou Quansheng stated that “Le Pion” is French for “pawn,” a chess piece. All robots in the Concierge series of medical service robots are named after chess pieces.

The company boasts a team with strong professional expertise, and its suite of services can be utilized for the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases.

The company’s team boasts a strong professional background, with management dedicated to transforming data into health and wealth.
