Bao'an District Maternal and Child Health Hospital Partners with Internet Healthcare Platform “Jiuyi160” to Co-establish a Full-Process Online Hospital; Project Launch Meeting Was Officially Held Yesterday. Chen Xu, President of Bao'an District Maternal and Child Health Hospital, and Luo Ningzheng, Founder and CEO of Jiuyi160, Attended the Launch Ceremony.
The new campus of Bao'an District Maternal and Child Health Hospital, constructed with an investment of RMB 1 billion, is located on Yulu Road. Covering a land area of 30,000 square meters and a floor space of 100,000 square meters, the facility will increase its bed capacity from over 350 to 1,000. Upon completion, the new hospital will significantly alleviate the difficulty in accessing specialized maternal and pediatric healthcare services in Bao'an District.
In addition to upgrading infrastructure, the Bao’an District Maternal and Child Health Hospital has integrated the mature technology of JiuYi 160 to establish a full-process online hospital, effectively and conveniently connecting the hospital, physicians, and patients. This initiative directly addresses the longstanding pain point in traditional healthcare known as “three longs and one short”—long waiting times for registration, consultation, and payment, coupled with short consultation durations. With the launch of the online hospital, a series of medical processes, including appointment scheduling, virtual queuing, in-consultation payments, and post-consultation follow-ups, have been moved online. Residents can complete these tasks simply by following the hospital’s WeChat official account (szbafby) and operating via their mobile phones, thereby saving considerable time.
According to reports, at the end of 2015, JiuYi160 was listed on the New Third Board. Luo Ningzheng stated that hospitals would remain the primary providers of medical services for a considerable period in the future. JiuYi160 will focus on delivering IT technical services to hospitals, helping them optimize management, enhance efficiency, and improve the patient experience, thereby promoting their mobile internet transformation and building an “Online Hospital for the Chinese People.”
As of May 2016, JiuYi160 had connected with more than 2,000 large hospitals across China, covering over 200 cities. The platform boasted 470,000 affiliated physicians, served more than one million users daily, and had provided a cumulative total of 240 million online medical services to patients nationwide. The number of real-name registered users had exceeded 88 million. Meanwhile, JiuYi160 established partnerships with major internet companies such as Baidu, Tencent, Alibaba, and Sina. JiuYi160 became the leading online appointment registration platform in China’s four first-tier cities—Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen—and also emerged as the largest internet healthcare service platform in China.
