This marks another significant step for Shenzhen, reflecting an increasingly tight integration between basic medical insurance and commercial health insurance, as well as signaling the continued opening-up of internet healthcare. Via WeChat City ServicesElectronic Social Security CardAccess the Financial Social Security Card Binding Portal.

Click after entering the card binding entry point.Add Social Security Card, enter your social security bank card number and verify your social security information. After confirming that the information is correct, proceed to the personnel system to register and link your card.

Online functions such as medical insurance appointment scheduling and settlement are available only after successful registration and card linking.(To schedule an appointment using medical insurance, simply select the hospital, department, and doctor, then confirm the registration with medical insurance.)

After successfully linking your card on WeChat, go to the Appointment menu, select registration, and click after confirming medical insurance registration.Confirm Payment, a successful registration notification will be received upon successful payment.

When registering and seeking medical care using medical insurance, a payment notification for the consultation fee will be automatically pushed via WeChat after the physician issues the order. Patients can review their itemized payment details (out-of-pocket amount/insurance-covered amount) and proceed with settlement (out-of-pocket portion/insurance-covered portion) after confirming the accuracy of the payment information.
