According to VCBeat, Zhongpuda was founded in 2008 and entered the mobile healthcare industry in late 2014. The company is committed to providing medical institutions with intelligent medical terminals, mobile apps and cloud platforms, as well as professional operation and maintenance and financial support services. Currently, its business has covered nearly 20 provinces across five regions: East China, South China, North China, Southwest China, and Northwest China.

Leveraging years of technical accumulation in mobile IoT terminals and ICT convergence, as well as in-depth research into the HIT industry, Zhongpuda has achieved a high level of integration among its technological, operational, and business models. This approach has gained widespread recognition from healthcare institutions across China. Since the launch of its mobile healthcare operational services over a year ago, Zhongpuda’s solutions have been adopted by more than 200 secondary-level and above hospitals nationwide, with a rapid growth rate of 30 new hospital clients added each month.

I. Healthcare institutions must be well-served before patients can benefit from valuable mobile health services

Zhongpuda's Industry Philosophy:

(i) The foundation for the development of mobile healthcare lies in the enhancement of mobile informatization levels within medical institutions;

(ii) Internet products that cannot interact with healthcare institutions’ information systems are not viable;

(iii) Only B2C services based on a medical institution’s own resources constitute truly valuable extended healthcare services;

(iv) Medical big data should first feed back into healthcare institutions, so that it can be better applied to patients.

Based on this, Zhongpuda has innovatively launched the “Yihutong” product for healthcare institutions, built upon a 4G private network architecture. Unlike other applications based on public clouds or medical edge services (such as appointment registration and payment), Zhongpuda’s solution deeply integrates with various information systems within healthcare institutions. This integration effectively enhances the level of clinical medical services and operational efficiency, while extending the service coverage of healthcare institutions by constructing a wireless wide-area intranet.

II. Advanced Business Models Drive Rapid Growth in the Mobile Healthcare Sector

Currently, B2B mobile health products in the Chinese market are primarily divided into two categories: one type enhances the operational capabilities of healthcare institutions but incurs high implementation costs, thereby hindering widespread adoption; the other type features lower or even zero implementation costs compared to the former, but fails to integrate deeply into hospital workflows, resulting in limited value and poor utilization.

To enable healthcare institutions to rapidly optimize and extend medical services through information technology, thereby benefiting patients, Zhongpuda has adopted an innovative business model that establishes a relationship of mutual trust and support between Zhongpuda and healthcare institutions. By partnering with telecommunications operators, Zhongpuda offers healthcare institutions a cost-free virtual operation service model featuring a “package deal, build-first-pay-later” approach. This model addresses the three major challenges faced by healthcare institutions in developing mobile services: high costs, significant risks, and difficult decision-making.

III. Committed to New Technologies and Applications, Delivering Services Across the Entire Patient Care Journey

According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, approximately 200 million patients were discharged nationwide in China in 2014, with about 68% of them requiring transitional care. Although there are numerous public cloud-based mobile health applications available in the Chinese market, few have gained the participation and trust of healthcare institutions due to concerns over data security and other issues, significantly diminishing their service value.

Zhongpuda’s wireless wide-area intranet technology ensures that data is transmitted exclusively through private networks and dedicated lines, thereby meeting the security and exclusivity requirements for medical data. Consequently, Zhongpuda can assist healthcare institutions in conveniently extending various services beyond hospital walls simply by deploying new application modules, thus delivering professional, full-course medical care covering pre-hospital, in-hospital, and post-discharge phases.

Meanwhile, Zhongpuda has aligned itself with the development of national healthcare policies by adopting ICT 2.0 technology and actively advancing its SaaS-based mobile health cloud product strategy. By supporting the tiered diagnosis and treatment system and integrating services into regional centralized informatization platforms, the company enables patients to tangibly experience the convenience offered by the tiered diagnosis and treatment model.

Industry experts believe that Zhongpuda has achieved rapid growth in both marketing and business operations over the past year. Following its listing on the New Third Board, the company’s financing capabilities and brand credibility are expected to improve, making further strategic expansions highly likely.

On June 8, Premier Li Keqiang delivered a speech titled “Developing Health and Medical Big Data in Areas of Urgent Public Need,” injecting new vitality into the industry. VCBeat believes that key initiatives mentioned at the meeting—such as tiered diagnosis and treatment, mutual recognition and sharing of examination and test results, and chronic disease management—can only be effectively implemented through deep engagement with the B-side (business-to-business) market. As the company with the most extensive B-side footprint in the “Internet + Healthcare” sector, Zhongpuda’s development model aligns naturally with national market planning and strategic layout, suggesting considerable promise for its future prospects.
