On June 23, Guizhou Yibai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. signed an “Initial Cooperation Agreement” with Australia’s Integrated Clinical Oncology Network Pty Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “ICON”). The two parties plan to each invest $2.5 million to jointly establish “Shanghai Yibai ICON Oncology Medical Management Company.”
The announcement stated that the joint venture will primarily provide management services for the radiation therapy segment of oncology chain hospitals and oncology treatment centers established by Yibai, ICON’s projects in China, as well as other potential oncology projects or enterprises negotiated with third parties in China (with marketing management outsourced to agreed-upon third parties).
The two parties also agreed that Yibai Pharmaceutical and ICON will jointly cultivate the “100ICON” brand, and that ICON will provide relevant services for the radiation therapy management of Yibai Cancer Center in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
According to VCBeat, ICON is Australia’s largest integrated cancer care provider, operating eight specialist day hospitals for cancer treatment, ten radiation oncology centers (with six under construction and seven planned), managing 50 oncology pharmacies, five TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration)-licensed chemotherapy compounding facilities, and the Icon Cancer Fund.
Meanwhile, ICON possesses outstanding expertise in healthcare institution management and quality assurance and control systems. ICON currently employs more than 120 specialized oncologists, serving 100,000 patients annually. In the realm of experimental research, ICON maintains close collaborations with multiple universities and research institutions to jointly develop cancer treatment technologies and pharmaceuticals, maintaining a leading position in Australia.
Upon establishment, Shanghai Yibai ICON Oncology Medical Management Company will be jointly owned by Yibai and ICON, each holding a 50% equity stake, with a total registered capital of USD 5 million. The capital contributions from each party are detailed below:

According to the announcement, both parties agreed that the joint venture would establish a network of Yibai Cancer Centers across China, including projects in Bijie, Harbin, Anhui, Shanghai, Qingdao, and other locations.
Yibai will be responsible for the Radiation Oncology Treatment Center at the Yibai Cancer Center and will provide all capital expenditures and staffing, including constructing and renovating the radiopharmacy vault as needed and purchasing additional equipment (including linear accelerators, Gamma Knife systems, and other treatment machines).
ICON will provide the joint venture with the ICON brand, encompassing high-quality cancer care, patient care, technology, and human resources, and will authorize the use of ICON’s related proprietary technologies, know-how, technical systems, and management frameworks in China for the joint venture’s radiation oncology services.
In addition, ICON will provide dosimetry services to Yibai Cancer Center, including radiotherapy planning with a particular focus on intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT or RapidArc), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), and deep inspiration breath-hold (DIBH) radiotherapy.
As the owner and operator of Australia’s leading private chain of cancer hospitals and treatment centers, ICON possesses exceptional expertise in healthcare facility management and quality assurance and control systems.
Through its collaboration with ICON, Yibai Pharmaceutical can provide robust assurance for the standards, standard operating procedures, and quality control at the Yibai Cancer Center, thereby delivering high-quality oncology treatment services to a broader population of cancer patients. Furthermore, this partnership will constitute a critical component of Yibai Pharmaceutical’s oncology medical service ecosystem.
