The "Yuyi Daojia" app is a home health management application designed for community residents. By integrating with smart medical hardware devices (such as fetal heart rate monitors, blood pressure monitors, blood glucose meters, and ECG monitors), it provides detection and analysis of various vital signs, disease prevention, and health guidance. Additionally, the "Yuyi Daojia" app offers localized community health information updates, access to local clinics and pharmacies, and services related to vaccination and disease control and prevention.

According to VCBeat (WeChat ID: vcbeat), Yu Yi Dao Jia’s service system primarily covers maternal and infant health, chronic disease management (such as hypertension and diabetes), child development, and elderly care. By leveraging its user-facing app, physician-facing app, institutional PC-based software, and supporting smart medical devices, Yu Yi Dao Jia aims to enable real-time collection, cloud-based management, and bidirectional feedback of healthcare data, thereby delivering proactive and effective home-based health management services.

Multiple complementary smart hardware devices have been launched

Yuyi Daojia is a subsidiary of Hefei Zhengde Medical Technology Co., Ltd. Product design and development commenced in 2014. The founder, Chen Fei, holds a graduate degree in Healthcare Management from the University of Hong Kong. He has previously worked at Asia Power Corporation in Singapore and Sanjing Pharmaceutical, and has overseen the construction of large-scale Grade A tertiary hospitals, possessing extensive familiarity with operational processes in the healthcare industry.

Since 2014, the five founders have been building a “family health management ecosystem.” The company was established in June 2015 and secured RMB 20 million in angel-round investment from a shareholder of a listed company by December 2015. After one year of development, it has built complete teams for technology, operations, promotion, and medical and health advisory services.

By integrating mobile phones with smart medical devices, Yuyi Daojia enables real-time collection, sharing, and management of health data, as well as two-way feedback. Users can monitor their health metrics in real time using Yuyi Daojia’s companion hardware products, such as fetal heart rate monitors, blood pressure monitors, and glucose meters. The data is uploaded to the cloud, where Yuyi Daojia’s medical team monitors and analyzes it, providing personalized health guidance. The platform also supports multi-user data sharing. The app was launched in March 2016, alongside two smart hardware products: the ELTNURSING Smart Fetal Heart Rate Monitor and the ELTNURSING Smart Upper-Arm Blood Pressure Monitor.

The ELTNURSING upper-arm smart blood pressure monitor enables the collection of health data, such as blood pressure and heart rate readings, on mobile devices via Bluetooth. It presents this information in the form of trend charts, allowing users to clearly visualize blood pressure fluctuations and changes. When blood pressure readings exceed normal ranges, the device automatically triggers an abnormality alert to prompt user awareness or timely medical intervention. By adding family member accounts through the "Yuyi Daojia" app, users can also remotely monitor their relatives' health data.

The ELTNURSING Smart Fetal Doppler employs the mainstream Doppler ultrasound technology currently available on the market. It leverages smartphones to monitor fetal heartbeats, calculate fetal heart rate in real time, and display data such as heart rate directly on the mobile device, providing analysis and commentary based on the monitoring results. By integrating the ELTNURSING Smart Fetal Doppler with the mobile health application “Yuyi Daojia,” expectant mothers can monitor fetal heart rate and fetal movements at home. “Yuyi Daojia” analyzes the collected data and offers personalized health guidance. The Yuyi Daojia APP also provides professional maternal and infant care services and information, including prenatal check-up reminders and guidance on prenatal examination items.

On the Yuyi Daojia app, users can find a range of testing services, including blood pressure monitoring, blood glucose testing, weight measurement, fetal heart rate monitoring, fetal movement tracking, prenatal check-ups, electrocardiogram (ECG) analysis, and genetic testing. In terms of service offerings, Yuyi Daojia primarily provides health screenings, data analytics, maternal and infant care services, a health knowledge base, and local services (such as community engagement, nearby pharmacy and clinic locator, dissemination of medical administration and health insurance information, and recommendations for health products). Yuyi Daojia aims to integrate “hardware + platform + cloud + content” to deliver a one-stop solution for home-based health management.

Building a Home Health Management Ecosystem

A survey conducted by the Yuyi Daojia team revealed that in just one district of Hefei, the ratio of doctors to households was as high as 1:2,000. Meanwhile, the National Health and Family Planning Commission recently issued the “Notice on Printing and Distributing the Guiding Opinions on Promoting Family Doctor Contract Services,” further advancing the development of family doctor services. Yuyi Daojia aims not only to connect family members but also to link governments, hospitals, physicians, and families, thereby creating a comprehensive health ecosystem.

Yuyi Daojia has partnered with community hospitals to integrate with their systems, developing a physician-facing app and institutional software with the aim of extending the family health management chain to the community hospital level. Due to inherent resource constraints, community hospitals often struggle to collect and manage healthcare data. Yuyi Daojia seeks to bridge the gap between households and community hospitals, providing support to help these institutions manage patients within their jurisdictions. Chen Fei told VCBeat that Yuyi Daojia’s vision for health management involves collaboration with neighborhood committees, community hospitals, and physicians, while also offering family doctor services to residents, thereby fostering a culture of health management among ordinary households.

For smart hardware used to collect health data, Yuyi Daojia adopts a model combining independent development with collaborative partnerships. Chen Fei told VCBeat that Yuyi Daojia aims to control hardware quality at the source and develop hardware products with higher compatibility with the Yuyi Daojia app. Meanwhile, Yuyi Daojia has begun collaborating with third-party testing institutions, such as BGI Genomics, launching genetic testing services for screening fetal congenital disorders. This initiative is designed to address weaknesses in primary healthcare and enhance the company’s profitability.

Amid the rapidly rising incidence of chronic diseases in China and the increasingly severe trend of population aging, there is a growing demand for health management and real-time monitoring. More and more people are seeking access to healthcare support and real-time health monitoring and management within their homes and daily lives. To meet the public’s intensifying health needs, Yu Yi Dao Jia will build a “home health management ecosystem.”
