Recently, Jiuyi 160, a well-known domestic internet healthcare service platform, has entered into a partnership with China Resources Phoenix Healthcare Group, the largest medical enterprise in Asia. Under this collaboration, Jiuyi 160 will provide an online appointment registration technology platform for six of the group’s affiliated hospitals, as well as the Blue Dragonfly real-time hospital infection monitoring system for one of them.
According to VCBeat (WeChat Official Account: vcbeat), the six hospitals that have launched online appointment registration services are Beijing Yanhua Hospital, Beijing Shunyi District Second Hospital, Beijing Jingmei Group General Hospital, Beijing Mentougou District Hospital, Beijing Mentougou District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Beijing Jiangong Hospital. With the launch of the online appointment registration function, patients who wish to seek medical treatment at the aforementioned hospitals can make appointments in advance from home via the Jiuyi 160 APP, Jiuyi 160 WeChat account, Jiuyi 160 official website, or by phone, thereby allowing them to schedule their waiting time reasonably.
Among the initial cooperation terms signed, JiuYi160 also undertook to provide Beijing Yanhua Hospital with real-time monitoring services for hospital-acquired infections. Blue Dragonfly, a software product under JiuYi160 and a leading brand in infection control informatization, underwent a comprehensive upgrade in 2016. It refocused on patient-centered care by aggregating data from the entire patient diagnosis and treatment process, analyzing and issuing early warnings for infection risk factors, and achieving real-time clinical infection control monitoring through integration with an infection control mobile app. Its open and intelligent warning model enables more comprehensive analysis, more precise alerts, and timelier interventions, shifting infection monitoring from control at the point of occurrence to prevention. This approach effectively improves the efficiency and refined management of infection control, thereby reducing the rate of hospital-acquired infections.
Data shows that China Resources Phoenix Healthcare Group is currently the private hospital group with the longest development history and the largest scale in China. The group’s member institutions are all located in Beijing and its surrounding provinces and cities, covering large general hospitals and community medical facilities. In 2013, its predecessor, Phoenix Healthcare, was listed in Hong Kong, becoming the first Chinese hospital group to be listed on the international capital market. By the end of 2015, Phoenix Healthcare was investing in and managing 60 medical institutions in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
On August 31 this year, Phoenix Healthcare proposed to acquire a company engaged in medical institution operations under China Resources Healthcare for a total value of RMB 3.722 billion, and to rename itself “China Resources Phoenix Healthcare Holdings Limited.” Upon completion of the transaction, China Resources’ shareholding will account for 35.7% of the enlarged share capital, making China Resources Healthcare the largest shareholder of Phoenix Healthcare.
A source close to Jiuyi 160 stated that, as of now, the platform has connected with more than 3,000 large hospitals across China, covering over 200 cities. It currently boasts nearly 500,000 affiliated physicians, serves more than one million users daily, and has provided a cumulative total of 250 million online medical consultations to patients nationwide, with nearly 100 million real-name registered users. This collaboration with China Resources Phoenix Healthcare marks the beginning of Jiuyi 160’s extensive expansion into the northern Chinese market from its Shenzhen headquarters.
On one hand, the first six partner hospitals are all located in Beijing, the capital. This facilitates the rapid establishment of Jiuyi 160’s “Shenzhen Model” in northern China, laying the groundwork for its future large-scale replication. On the other hand, China Resources Phoenix Healthcare operates 60 medical institutions in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, with the initial six hospitals serving merely as a foothold. Integrating Jiuyi 160’s full suite of products across all hospitals within the group may well be its ultimate objective.
