On October 11, Alibaba’s DingTalk officially launched its enterprise services in Beijing, offering DingTalk enterprise users a comprehensive suite of services including business travel, meal ordering, transportation, healthcare, social insurance, and legal affairs. This initiative aims to help companies operate more efficiently and humanely, “kickstarting work with warmth.” The first batch of partners participating in the DingTalk Enterprise Services Program includes Alibaba Travel, Alibaba Health, Ele.me, Tmall Enterprise Procurement, Didi Chuxing, and Yongche, among others, providing comprehensive coverage of employees’ daily needs from clothing and food to housing and transportation.

DingTalk's Vision

Traditional SaaS vendors have focused more on serving high-end enterprise clients with strong purchasing power, often overlooking the needs of the vast majority of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). In contrast, Alibaba’s DingTalk has broken away from this traditional model by providing free enterprise services to SMEs. Through this “down-market” service strategy, DingTalk has acquired a large base of corporate users in just over a year.

As its user base continued to grow, DingTalk launched a comprehensive ecosystem service model, introducing all-encompassing online and offline services covering employees’ daily needs—such as clothing, food, housing, and transportation. The theme of this launch event was “Initiating Work with Warmth.” The cornerstone of this ecosystem is that employees no longer need to advance their own funds for business trips or submit paper invoices for reimbursement afterward. DingTalk has always been committed to delivering efficient and human-centric work experiences. By collaborating with partners to create these enterprise services, DingTalk not only enhances workplace efficiency for its corporate users but also fosters a more humane, warm, and caring approach to work.

Ali Health Enters the Corporate Health Market

Within this ecosystem, Alibaba Health is a key participant, with its entry point being “health checkups.” At yesterday’s press conference, Alibaba Health, in partnership with iKang Guobin and Ciming Health Checkup, launched the “Alibaba Health Checkup” mini-app on DingTalk to provide health benefits for employees of small and medium-sized enterprises.

To support the promotional efforts of this press conference, Alibaba Health announced a major initiative, offering 15,000 complimentary health checkups with a total value of up to RMB 5 million to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). During the campaign, HR professionals can log in to the “Alibaba Health Checkup” mini-app via the DingTalk app to secure these free health checkup benefits for their employees. Employees may choose a nearby examination center at their convenience. In an upcoming version of DingTalk scheduled for release in late October, employees will be able to view their health checkup reports directly within the mini-app. Additionally, employees will have the option to purchase health checkups for their family members at discounted employee rates.

“An increasing number of enterprises have come to realize that, compared with other factors, employees are their greatest asset, and the health status of employees is crucial to the long-term development of the enterprise,” said Jiang Cheng, Senior Director of Alibaba Health’s Health Platform. Jiang introduced that this event, jointly organized by Alibaba Health, iKang Guobin, and Ciming Health Checkup via DingTalk, not only demonstrates corporate humanistic care for employees but also provides HR departments of many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with compensation and benefits tools, thereby enhancing their bargaining power.

According to Alibaba Health, the decision to partner with iKang Guobin and Ciming Jianjian was driven by their status as established players in the health screening market. With years of experience in providing screening services, both companies deliver high-quality health management solutions—including comprehensive health examinations, disease detection, and private physician services—and have earned widespread acclaim across society.

It is reported that in the coming period, AliHealth will collaborate with relevant medical institutions to create a “Health Supermarket” on DingTalk. This initiative aims to provide enterprises with higher-quality, more comprehensive, and diverse service options, expanding from health check-ups to services such as private physicians, genetic testing, and dental cleaning. The goal is to help enterprise employees achieve greater health returns with minimal investment.

Win-Win Collaboration

In the current health checkup market, over 80% of clients are corporate group users, and DingTalk’s B2B orientation has become the key to their collaboration. DingTalk aims to build an ecosystem, while Alibaba seeks to capture corporate users, creating a natural complementarity between the two.

ScrewScrewFounder Chen Hang (alias: Wuzhao) elaborated on this collaboration, noting that the preparation for the DingTalk Enterprise Service Plan took more than three months.DingTalk has always been committed to sharing and altruism,This joint enterprise service initiative with partners further extends the platform’s reach, while cross-industry collaboration accelerates ecosystem development.Alibaba Health has also been collaborating with relevant medical institutions to launch the “Health Supermarket” initiative, offering enterprises a diverse range of health services—from physical examinations to private physicians, genetic testing, and dental cleaning—helping employees achieve greater health returns with minimal investment.Health services represent an excellent entry point into the enterprise market. By sharing these services with all DingTalk-enabled enterprises, DingTalk undoubtedly creates a win-win situation, harnessing collective strength to achieve significant accomplishments.

According to VCBeat, since the launch of its open platform on August 31, 2015, Alibaba’s DingTalk has been evolving toward a multi-dimensional platform strategy, embracing partners with a fully open approach. Currently, more than 30,000 developers have joined the DingTalk Open Platform, providing customized solutions to over 200,000 enterprises across 80 industries.
