The 2016 Annual Conference on the Development of Private Hospitals in China Grandly Opened at the Yun’an Huidu International Conference Center in Kunming on October 23. The conference was hosted by the Private Hospital Management Branch of the Chinese Hospital Association, and co-organized with the support of the Yunnan Provincial Hospital Association, the Yunnan Provincial Non-Public Medical Institutions Association, the Private Hospital Management Branches (Professional Committees) of the Hospital Associations of various provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), the Editorial Office of Chinese Hospital Architecture & Equipment, and Yunnan Boya Hospital, among other units.
Centered on the theme of “Healthy China Strategy and Innovative Development of Private Hospitals,” the annual conference focuses on jointly studying and exploring successful pathways for the future development of private hospitals in China, against the backdrop of comprehensive deepening of reforms and the promotion of health industry growth. Compared to last year, the conference has reached new heights in both scale and influence:

Grand Scale and Innovative Format of the Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony was held at the International Conference Center, which has a seating capacity of over 1,500. Under the hosting and initiative of Mr. Zhao Chun, Executive Vice President of the Private Hospital Management Branch of the Chinese Hospital Association, all attendees scanned the launch QR code with their mobile phones, jointly witnessing the commencement of the annual conference in an innovative manner.
Subsequently, Wang Canping, Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Yunnan Provincial Health and Family Planning Commission; Zhang Baoku, Deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese Hospital Association; and Ye Quanfu, Deputy Director of the Hospital Management Institute under the National Health and Family Planning Commission, delivered opening addresses. As another highlight of the opening ceremony, the results of the “National Integrity Private Hospitals” initiative were officially announced, calling on more private hospitals to proactively participate in the campaign and demonstrate their commitment to building a positive image through concrete actions. Following a rigorous evaluation process that included self-assessment, submission and review of medical data, supervisory spot checks, and comprehensive public appraisal, 240 private hospitals were recognized as “Integrity Private Hospitals,” and honorary certificates were presented to them on site.

Meanwhile, the 2016 China Private Hospital Development Report (Blue Book), which reflects the development and changes of private hospitals in China and showcases the development aspirations of the vast majority of private hospitals, also held its new book launch ceremony, hoping that all experts and colleagues in the industry would offer their advice and suggestions.

Following the opening ceremony, the keynote forum was moderated by Li Yuedong, President and Editor-in-Chief of China Hospital Architecture & Equipment Magazine, and President of the Private Hospital Equipment Management Branch of the China Medical Equipment Association. Leaders and guests, including Hu Ruirong, Zhou Xiaoyuan, and Huang Weidong—Vice President of the Private Hospital Management Branch of the Chinese Hospital Association and Chairman of Xinjiang Jiayin Group—delivered keynote speeches on the themes of “Promoting the Tiered Diagnosis and Treatment System to Establish an Orderly Healthcare-Seeking Structure,” “Progress in Deepening Healthcare System Reform and Key Priorities for the Next Steps,” and “Current Status of Private Hospital Development and Industry Outlook.” They interpreted the policy environment and analyzed the current state of development from various perspectives for the attendees.
In the afternoon, three parallel sub-forums kicked off simultaneously:

Concurrent Summit Highlights
Concurrently, to effectively promote platform sharing, complementarity of strengths, and resource alignment, the 2016 China Private Hospital Construction and Management Summit Forum, jointly organized by the editorial office of Chinese Hospitals Architecture & Equipment, an authoritative academic journal in the field of hospital construction in China, and the Branch of Equipment Management for Private Hospitals under the China Medical Equipment Association, among other entities, was held. More than 50 mainstream industry enterprises participated in the event.
Exhibition Size Doubles; Attendees Flood In
Concurrently with the conference, the 2nd China Private Hospital Equipment, Technology and Investment Exhibition was grandly held. More than 50 companies from fields such as medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, hospital planning and facilities, informatization, investment and financing, education and training participated in the exhibition. Attendees visited the exhibition during breaks to engage in in-depth exchanges on cutting-edge products and solutions.
