On October 31, the “Internet Plus Medical and Elderly Care Service Innovation Forum and Launch Ceremony of the Beijing Home-based Elderly Care Service Platform,” co-hosted by First Video’s subsidiary Hu Yi Dao Jia (Medical Professionals to Your Door) and Tai Xin Kang Hu (Tai Xin Health Care), was held in Beijing.

Currently, the elderly population in Beijing has reached 3.134 million, including 600,000 advanced-age seniors, 300,000 seniors living alone, and 150,000 disabled seniors. According to the recently released Fourth Survey on Home-Based Elderly Care Services in Urban and Rural Areas, the top four needs among seniors are: home medical visits (38.1%), household chores assistance (12.1%), rehabilitation and nursing care (11.3%), and psychological counseling/companionship (10.6%).

Addressing the key needs of the elderly population mentioned above, Yihuyidao, as the first platform in China to be included in the pilot program for internet-based medical and elderly care services, launched the “Beijing Home-Based Elderly Care Service Platform.” Leveraging mobile internet technology, it offers three core services—integrated medical and elderly care, in-home nursing services, and professional caregiving services—enabling seniors to fully benefit from the advancements in technology.

The medical and elderly care services segment has launched diabetes care, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease care, hypertension care, and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) physiotherapy programs. Targeting patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and hypertension across China, the "Doctors and Nurses to Home" platform offers a six-month package for RMB 199 and an annual package for RMB 299. Services include home visits by physicians and remote follow-ups. Users can book licensed physicians in their vicinity through the "Doctors and Nurses to Home" platform. Physicians will assess the patient’s condition and recovery status, and develop personalized plans for daily routine, diet, exercise, and medication.

“Nurse Home Visit” Section: Addressing the Challenges of Post-Discharge Home Care for the ElderlyBy establishing a platform similar to Didi Chuxing, Yihu Daojia enables licensed nurses to provide home-based care services during their spare time. These services include 15 types of nursing care—such as injections, intravenous infusions, catheterization, nasogastric feeding, dressing changes, sputum suction, pressure ulcer care, and stoma care—as well as health guidance. Currently, the Yihu Daojia platform has certified over 18,000 nurses, with its home visit services covering 215 prefecture-level cities across China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing, and Hangzhou. Notably, in Beijing’s eight urban districts, 79.3% of the practicing nurses are from Grade A tertiary hospitals. Regarding fees, pricing varies based on service packages: a single visit costs RMB 149, while the average cost per visit drops to just RMB 70 with multi-visit packages. As these service fees are significantly lower than the transportation and labor costs associated with hospital visits, the platform’s appointment success rate exceeds 80%.

To address the risks associated with basic medical care services such as in-home nursing, Wei Guilei officially released the “ICCINO” service standard at the press conference. ICCINO is an acronym derived from the initial letters of six key safety safeguards: Insurance (providing free insurance coverage for both parties), Check (verifying nurses’ qualifications), Check (inspecting patients’ self-prepared medications, tools, and documentation for out-of-hospital infusion therapy), Inform (providing health guidance and signing the “Informed Consent Form”), Nursing (performing nursing procedures), and Observe (monitoring the patient for at least 20 minutes).

Furthermore, "Yihu Daojia" has partnered with Taixin Kanghu, China's largest caregiver and nursing agency, to jointly launch caregiver services. These services provide the elderly with assistance in daily care, housekeeping, rehabilitation nursing, and companionship to alleviate loneliness.
