(“Jinlu Aviation Rescue”), China’s largest provider of emergency rescue and medical air transport services, and GlobalMedia Group (“GlobalMed”), a global leader in telemedicine technology, announced today that they have signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Under the agreement, Jinlu Aviation Rescue will serve as GlobalMed’s exclusive distributor in the Greater China region, marketing and selling GlobalMed’s full portfolio of telemedicine technologies and products across mainland China and the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions. These offerings include advanced mobile telemedicine workstations, associated clinical diagnostic equipment, and a cloud-based service platform for capturing, transmitting, and storing medical images. As a company jointly and strategically invested in by the Fortune 500 HNA Group and the Hong Kong-listed Golden Meditech Group, Deer Jet Air Ambulance has achieved rapid development. It has established close collaborations with numerous large and medium-sized Chinese enterprises, insurance companies, and financial institutions, delivering outstanding results in providing on-site clinic solutions for overseas Chinese employees, global medical air ambulance services, and customized insurance products. After years of accumulation and growth, Deer Jet Air Ambulance has become one of the preferred providers of travel health and safety services for Chinese citizens traveling abroad.

“GlobalMed’s mobile telemedicine technologies and solutions have been widely adopted across 55 countries and regions worldwide, having undergone thorough market validation. We are highly optimistic about its development prospects in China and believe it holds substantial market potential in the future,” said Lu Haikuan, CEO of Golden Deer Air Ambulance. “Introducing GlobalMed’s mobile telemedicine solutions will not only strengthen and expand our service portfolio for overseas employees of Chinese enterprises, enhancing our service capabilities and standards, but also enable us to seize opportunities in China’s healthcare services market, which is currently undergoing transformation. By leveraging telemedicine technology, millions of Chinese patients can consult with leading medical experts without needing to travel to major medical hubs, thereby gaining timely access to high-quality healthcare services.”

“Our telemedicine platform and technology can benefit more patients in Greater China and across Asia, providing them with faster and more effective diagnosis and treatment,” said Joel E. Barthelemy, CEO of GlobalMed. “As the largest provider of telemedicine technology and equipment in the history of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, GlobalMed’s capabilities in telemedicine system design and R&D have been fully validated, and the scalability of our systems has been thoroughly tested. Our corporate mission is to deliver high-quality telemedicine services to patients through interconnected technologies. In Asia, we will make this a reality through our partnership with Deer Jet Air Ambulance.”

According to official statistics, there were over 7.7 billion hospital visits in China in 2015. In this regard, Lu Haikuan stated, “Based on general empirical figures, if even a small fraction of these 7.7 billion visits opted for telemedicine, China would become the world’s largest telemedicine market, with market potential that would dwarf those of regions such as the European Union and North America.”

This strategic partnership marks the entry of GlobalMed’s series of telemedicine devices and solutions into the Chinese market, offering the country’s 1.4 billion people—representing 19% of the global population—access to more convenient, efficient, and high-quality diagnostic and treatment services. In accordance with the “Healthy China 2020” plan formulated by the National Health and Family Planning Commission, China aims to achieve universal access to basic healthcare nationwide by 2020. A key national priority is the widespread adoption of telemedicine equipment, accompanied by increased investment in this sector. Furthermore, driven by nearly three decades of economic growth, Chinese citizens, now advancing toward a moderately prosperous society, have expressed strong demand for high-quality medical services. Meanwhile, in remote and rural areas, where local medical capabilities lag behind, the shortage of well-trained healthcare professionals and adequate hospital infrastructure remains a pressing public health challenge that requires urgent attention.

Joel E. Barthelemy emphasized, “The application of telemedicine technology will effectively address the current imbalance in medical resources and diagnostic and treatment capabilities between urban and rural areas.”

GlobalMed’s comprehensive range of telemedicine equipment includes mobile, portable, and wall-mounted telemedicine workstations. These workstations, together with the various peripheral auxiliary medical devices and equipment listed below, form an integrated system. This system not only enables physicians to clearly view remote patients but also facilitates real-time interaction, allowing for accurate assessment of vital signs and clinical indicators essential for diagnosis. Based on this information, physicians can make diagnoses and propose treatment plans. This approach provides a highly effective health assurance solution for residents living in areas far from major hospitals or lacking access to medical specialists.

As a leader in the field of global telemedicine image transmission technology, GlobalMed’s core telemedicine auxiliary device is the "TotalExam3" medical camera. This versatile high-definition camera connects to workstations via a USB interface, enabling physicians to clearly examine patients’ superficial skin lesions and organs such as the oral cavity and eyes. This plug-and-play device features a convertible lens camera and can also be used for routine examinations and video recording.

Other ancillary telemedicine devices from GlobalMed include the ClearSteth® remote high-definition stethoscope, which enables physicians to clearly hear patients’ heart, lung, and bowel sounds in real time; the ClearProbe®, which performs ultrasound examinations of blood vessels and the abdominal cavity; and the TotalVitals and TotalECG systems, which monitor all vital signs in real time, including body temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, lung capacity, and electrocardiogram (ECG) data. Notably, the TotalECG connects wirelessly to a computer to record patient data in real time.

In addition to the aforementioned hardware devices, GlobalMed also provides a comprehensive cloud service platform, eNcounter®. This cloud platform connects with various medical devices, facilitating physicians’ access to patients’ vital signs during real-time video consultations, while securely storing electronic health records and patient information.
