Lianzhong Medical Unveils Regional Smart Healthcare Cloud Platform at Zhejiang International Health Industry Summit

On December 7, the 2016 Zhejiang International Health Industry Summit was held in Yiwu. The summit was guided by the Zhejiang Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Zhejiang Provincial Health and Family Planning Commission, and the Zhejiang Provincial Economic and Information Technology Commission, and jointly hosted by the Yiwu Municipal People’s Government and the Zhejiang Health Industry Federation. Deputy Secretary-General Li Yunlin pointed out that in the post-G20 era, Zhejiang is riding the crest of the wave, striving to “work pragmatically and stay at the forefront,” and standing at a critical juncture for achieving a moderately prosperous society in all respects at a high level. It is essential to implement the spirit of the Provincial Conference on Health and Wellness, vigorously develop the health industry, and comprehensively advance reforms in the five major health sectors. We must accelerate the establishment of a comprehensive health framework that benefits all people in the province, promoting substantial growth and upgrading of the health industry. Furthermore, we should vigorously advance new health technologies and the pharmaceutical industry, while actively cultivating new health-related business models.

Secretary Sheng Qiuping emphasized that Yiwu attaches great importance to the development of the health industry, cultivating it as one of the four strategic industries during the 13th Five-Year Plan period. The city will focus on developing pharmaceuticals, medical services, and healthy food industries centered on “medical care”; elderly care and wellness services characterized by “nurturing”; health fitness and tourism-cultural industries supported by “wellness”; and smart health industries led by “intelligence.” Leveraging the pilot program for the health industry, Yiwu aims to build a regional health growth pole that radiates influence and drives development in central Zhejiang.
