Renhe Pharmacy Network’s Flagship Store on Zhongshan 1st Road, Guangzhou, Officially Opens on December 28The new store, located at No. 57 Zhongshan 1st Road in Yuexiu District, covers an area of over 500 square meters. It is the first Renhe Pharmacy Network outlet in Guangzhou to adopt the dual-track “medical care + pharmaceuticals” operational model and also its largest flagship store nationwide.
In December 2015, Jingwei Yuanhua, the parent company of Yaofang.com, was officially acquired by Renhe Pharmaceutical. Within a year, Yaofang.com completed synchronized rebranding for its online and offline operations (with both the online “Yaofang.com” and the offline chain “Jingwei Grand Pharmacy” renamed to “Renhe Yaofang.com”), and announced plans to acquire 3,000 stores across China as experience centers within three years, while launching mobile healthcare services.
DTP, also known as DTC, stands for Direct to Patient, meaning that pharmaceutical products reach patients directly. Specifically, pharmaceutical manufacturers authorize pharmacies to act as direct distributors, bypassing intermediaries. After obtaining a prescription from a hospital, patients can purchase medications at these pharmacies and receive professional guidance on their use.
The DTP model relies on the deep integration of resources between pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies. Currently, its product portfolio primarily consists of high-margin specialty drugs and innovative medications, most of which are paid out-of-pocket. Since many high-cost drugs are not included in the national medical insurance reimbursement list, yet patients still have a demand for them, the DTP model has emerged to address this gap.
At the China Pharmaceutical Industry and Commerce DTP Forum held on December 12 this year, Li Hongbo, General Manager of Renhe Pharmacy Network, highlighted in his speech the company’s innovative applications within the DTP/DTC business model. The company pioneered a “triune” three-dimensional member health management system, integrating its online pharmacy platform, Health Plus Medical services, and a membership club to establish a distinctive internet-based “pharmaceuticals + healthcare + membership” operational model, thereby providing the public with comprehensive, multi-faceted, and high-quality health services.
As the largest flagship store of Renhe Pharmacy Network across China, it allows the public to freely experience a wide range of health screening services provided by licensed physicians and pharmacists on-site, including heart rate monitoring, respiratory rate monitoring, pulse wave analysis, pulse rate measurement, blood pressure measurement, visual acuity testing, color blindness screening, fundus examination, tympanic membrane and ear canal examination, throat examination, blood glucose testing, uric acid testing, cholesterol testing, and trace element testing.
Renhe Pharmacy Network’s strategic partner, “Health Plus Medicine,” has fully integrated its internet healthcare project into the flagship store on Zhongshan 1st Road in Guangzhou. Through mobile medical cloud all-in-one devices such as the “Health All-in-One Machine,” the public can connect in real time with professional medical personnel to seek medical advice, engage in remote consultations, obtain electronic prescriptions, and receive health guidance, achieving “zero-distance” communication. Customers can also immediately access personalized medical services, including appointment registration, accompanied consultation, genetic testing, and overseas medical care. This initiative brings internet hospital functionalities to physical stores, creating an exclusive high-end medical experience that spares patients the hardship of queuing for registration at hospitals and enables them to resolve medical issues right at their doorstep.
Currently, all sales staff at the Guangzhou Zhongshan 1st Road Flagship Store are licensed pharmacists, capable of providing patients with immediate and precise medication guidance and pharmaceutical services.
Renhe Pharmacy Network leverages a professional membership club management model and, through its “Health Community” intelligent platform, provides professional, high-quality, precise, and comprehensive health consultation and management services to members as well as individuals in covered communities, government agencies, and enterprises. By categorizing members using disease-specific tags, establishing personalized health records based on diagnostic testing, and integrating health management with medical care, the platform implements triage management following the family doctor model. This ensures the full implementation of health management strategies and delivers dedicated, 24/7 comprehensive family doctor health advisory services to members.
Renhe Pharmacy Network and Fuyuantang Medical Rehabilitation Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine have established a strategic partnership this year. Currently, select TCM services from Fuyuantang are available at Renhe Pharmacy Network’s flagship store on Zhongshan 1st Road in Guangzhou, where patients can directly access professional TCM health services, including consultations and physical therapy.
In the future, the two parties will gradually deepen their collaboration in broad health sectors such as chronic disease management and sub-health management. By leveraging internet technology to enable real-time consultations with TCM experts from Fuyuantang, patients will receive diagnostic and medication guidance, along with electronic prescriptions. Licensed pharmacists at physical stores will then handle a series of TCM health services, including medication dispensing, herbal decoction, and home delivery. This approach aims to reduce waiting times for consultations, medication pickup, and herbal brewing, mitigate risks such as cross-infection, and comprehensively enhance medication safety.
In 2016, Renhe Pharmacy Network made numerous innovations in promoting the “Medical Care + Pharmaceuticals” model. These included partnering with the professional internet healthcare platform “Health Plus Medicine,” collaborating with Fuyuantang Medical Rehabilitation Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine to explore the “Internet + TCM” model, and establishing “Health Communities” to enhance the service quality of its membership club.
In the future, Renhe Pharmacy Network’s offline stores will undergo a comprehensive transformation from traditional pharmacies—primarily focused on the display, arrangement, and sale of pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical products—into diversified health experience centers integrating “medical care” and “pharmacy services.” This upgrade will feature seven dedicated zones: Disease-Specific Zones, Mobile Medical Health Service Zones, Member Experience Zones, Member Health Club Zones, Renhe Proprietary Product Zones, Online Video Consultation Zones, and Professional Physician and Pharmacist Diagnosis and Treatment Zones. By integrating online and offline physical resources, Renhe Pharmacy Network aims to gradually establish a three-dimensional member health management system centered on the triad of “Renhe Pharmacy Network + Health Plus Medical Care + Member Club.”
