Integrated Internet Healthcare Service Platform

“Internet + Healthcare,” as a sharp tool breaking the ice in traditional healthcare, has brought visible changes to hospitals, doctors, and patients.

On March 9, VCBeat learned that the “Full-Process Online Hospital” platform, jointly developed by Haikou People’s Hospital, Bank of China Hainan Provincial Branch, and Shenzhen Ningyuan Technology (Jiuyi 160), was officially launched for widespread use. Haikou Deputy Mayor Gu Gang, Director of the Haikou Health Bureau Zeng Zhaochang, President of Haikou People’s Hospital Yang Yijun, Yan Hua, Vice President of Bank of China Hainan Provincial Branch, Cheng Kefeng, Vice President of Shenzhen Ningyuan Technology (Jiuyi 160), and other leaders from relevant Haikou municipal departments attended the project launch event.

This project marks a significant breakthrough for Health 160 following its official authorization in 2016 to develop and operate the “Smart Hainan” public healthcare platform. It is also Health 160’s first end-to-end project in Haikou City, holding substantial significance.

Three Convenient Channels for Patient Appointment Scheduling; In-Consultation Payment Extended to Inpatient Services

The end-to-end online hospital effectively connects hospitals, doctors, and patients, integrating pre-consultation, during-consultation, and post-consultation processes. Patients can complete appointment registration, in-consultation payments, online access to test reports, and hospitalization procedures via the "Jiuyi 160" APP or by following the official WeChat account of "Haikou People's Hospital." This reduces the total consultation time by more than two hours.

According to VCBeat, to provide citizens with more convenient one-stop comprehensive services, Bank of China, as one of the project partners, has added a “Haikou People’s Hospital” medical service channel to its official WeChat account, “Bank of China Hainan Provincial Branch.” Citizens can also access the “Online Hospital” platform through this channel. This initiative represents Bank of China’s best practice in supporting local healthcare development through digital financial services. It aims to leverage internet financial services to promote the growth of “Internet + Healthcare,” advance the construction of “Smart Healthcare” in Hainan, and provide citizens with a safer, more convenient, and comfortable medical experience.

Notably, in light of the hospital’s specific circumstances, Jianyi160 has comprehensively upgraded its in-consultation payment system. Patients can now complete payments within seconds by simply scanning the QR code on the prescription stamp. Meanwhile, inpatients can click “My Hospitalization” in the hospital’s official WeChat menu to directly pay the hospitalization deposit and various expenses incurred during their stay. Additionally, features such as daily expense statement inquiries are available for patient use.

Transform Haikou People's Hospital into a Provincial Benchmark for Internet Healthcare Development

The hospital stated that Haikou People's Hospital holds a pivotal position in the local medical landscape and across the entire province. The introduction of a full-process online hospital has proven highly beneficial for optimizing patient care workflows, improving operational efficiency, and alleviating tensions in doctor-patient relationships. By partnering with Health 160 and the Bank of China, the hospital aims to advance its “Internet + Healthcare” infrastructure through IT-enabled solutions. This initiative seeks to provide patients with secure, convenient, and high-quality internet-based medical services, thereby fostering more harmonious doctor-patient relationships and delivering a more comfortable healthcare experience for the people of Hainan.

Regarding the rapid launch of the full-process project at Haikou People's Hospital, Cheng Kefeng, Vice President of Jiuyi 160, stated on the day that such high efficiency would not have been possible without the strong support of the hospital and the Bank of China. The full-process online hospital serves as a catalyst for the development of smart healthcare in Hainan and is a key initiative for Jiuyi 160’s expansion into the Hainan market. The company is fully aware of its significant responsibilities. Within just five days since the payment function was enabled across all departments of the hospital, the total transaction volume has approached RMB 300,000. As Jiuyi 160’s pioneering project in Haikou, the company is confident in establishing it as a benchmark hospital in the Hainan region, thereby further advancing the construction of “Smart Hainan” healthcare.

From an industry perspective, the full-process online hospital serves not only as an accelerator for building Smart Hainan but also as a significant step in Jiuyi 160’s nationwide deployment of online hospitals. Currently, Jiuyi 160’s full-process online hospital solutions have been implemented in cities such as Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Dongguan, Haikou, Sanya, and Changsha, earning widespread recognition from local hospitals and patients. It is reported that Jiuyi 160 will further expand its presence in Hainan, introducing more advanced technologies and services to the region.

As a leading mobile healthcare service platform in China, Health 160 has expanded its business to more than 3,000 large hospitals nationwide, with approximately 500,000 registered physicians and over 100 million real-name registered users. In 2017, Health 160 will continue to accelerate the deployment of its full-process online hospital model across various regions, further promoting its pioneering “Internet+” Shenzhen model throughout China.
