Artificial intelligence is advancing at a vigorous pace and increasingly penetrating domains that were once exclusively dominated by humans. Admittedly, as an emerging technology, AI demonstrates significant advantages in certain areas and can help enhance human efficiency; however, its future development also carries uncertain risks.
In the medical field, is artificial intelligence an assistant or a rival to physicians? When it comes to disease diagnosis, is AI more accurate, or do clinicians with extensive practical experience hold the upper hand?
Now, we will reveal the answer!
Yiku, in collaboration with Airdoc, an AI team in the medical field, has launched the inaugural “AI vs. Top Medical Minds Series Competition.” The competition aims to pit participating physicians against AI-powered doctor bots to determine whose diagnostic results are more accurate.
Artificial intelligence has posed significant challenges to physicians, who must rise to the occasion. The gauntlet has been thrown down; can doctors afford not to accept the challenge? Step forward to defend the honor of the brightest medical minds!

“Artificial Intelligence vs. The Strongest Medical Brain” Series Competition is divided into four seasons.
To help physicians learn and strengthen their understanding and differential diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy, and to raise public awareness of the disease, we have partnered with multiple departments, including endocrinology and ophthalmology, to launch the “Diabetic Retinopathy Image Reading Challenge” for this first season.
The competition consists of preliminary and semifinal rounds. Participants are randomly assigned diagnostic cases based on DR images, allowing them to compete against AI algorithms and other participants while performing DR diagnoses. Doctors are also welcome to upload their own images to challenge AI and compete against physicians across China.
Apr. 7–16: Preliminary Round
