On April 18, VCBeat learned that Jianjiao Technology, the first company in China to commercialize robotic exoskeletons, officially announced today that it had completed a RMB 30 million Pre-A financing round, with Bojiang Capital as the investor. Previously, Jianjiao Technology had receivedZhen Shun Fund'sAngel round financing.
It is reported that this round of financing will be used for R&D investment in software and hardware, as well as for achieving independent intellectual property rights for core hardware.
According to VCBeat,Scream Tech was founded in 2015,Focused on the development of AI-powered robotic exoskeleton assistance systems, encompassing both hardware and cloud platforms.。
Li Xiang, founder of Jianjiao Technology, formerly served as Vice President of Guokr and participated in the development of multiple hardware products, including nuclear batteries, drones, and smart home devices. CTO Li Muran has engaged in system development for numerous smart hardware and Internet of Things (IoT) projects. Currently, Jianjiao Technology’s core team comprises nearly 10 members.
Jianjiao Technology’s products feature two major highlights:Fast Speed and Low Cost。In just a few short months, Jianjiao Technology delivered the first-generation prototype. Its R&D team maintained a pace of iterating one prototype per month.
In terms of cost,Jianjiao Technology adopts an advanced co-creation approach, with collaborative development by its core and peripheral teams., and by adopting a leapfrog approach to technological iteration, it has achieved excellent cost control compared to the hundreds of millions in development costs incurred overseas and the tens of millions spent by domestic academic institutions.

The First Functional Prototype S1
In November 2016, Jianjiao Technology launched its first functional prototype, the S1. Compared with the previous-generation product, this prototype utilized composite materials,Approx. 10 kg,Weighs approximately 20% less than the previous generation.
S1 is equipped with 12 sensors distributed across the waist, both sides of the legs, and the soles of the feet. During daily use, these sensors collect multidimensional physiological data, including electromyography (EMG), fiber Bragg grating signals, and surface muscle relaxation pressure. This information is transmitted to a local CPU located at the waist. Once the device connects to Wi-Fi, the CPU uploads the data to the cloud, where a deep learning network analyzes the new data to “customize” and adjust the gait model for each individual user.
CTO Li Muran stated that the S1 is a product featuring a downgraded implementation of a leading-edge architecture. It incorporates a cane-free, adaptive walking framework, yet remains backward compatible with the cane-assisted automatic walking functionality prevalent in the current domestic market. Furthermore, it retains the potential for over-the-air software upgrades to unlock superior performance tiers, akin to CPU overclocking or enabling cheat modes.
Furthermore,Applying Artificial Intelligence Deep Learning toIn the field of exoskeleton robotics,Scream Technology was the first to start.. Neural network algorithms account for approximately 30% of its R&D investment.
Targeting the Rehabilitation Market
According to data from the Second National Sample Survey, the total number of people with disabilities in China currently stands at 85.02 million, among whom 24.72 million have physical disabilities, accounting for 29% and ranking first. Assuming that 70% of these individuals have lower-limb disabilities and 5% of them use exoskeleton robots, with each domestically produced unit priced at RMB 100,000, the market size would reach RMB 86.52 billion, indicating significant potential for robotic exoskeletons.
According to Li Muran,The rehabilitation market is the primary market for Jianjiao Technology. For individuals with severely impaired walking function, exoskeletons can serve as long-term wearable assistive devices for ambulation; additionally, they aid those who have temporarily lost the ability to walk in rapidly restoring healthy gait.
Furthermore, targeting outdoor sports enthusiasts by developing individual components for the knees, thighs, shoes, and arms, applicable to multiple scenarios such as rock climbing and running, also represents a significant market for Jianjiao Technology’s products; this user base consists primarily of geeks.
