The 6th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (Beijing Region) Biomedical Sector Contest & Health Valley Summit Forum is a biomedical vertical-sector entrepreneurship competition guided by the Torch High-Tech Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Beijing Municipal Commission of Science and Technology, hosted by the Beijing Business Incubation Association and the Beijing Mass Makerspace Alliance, and organized by Beijing Tianyi Hongfang Investment Management Co., Ltd. (Health Valley) and the China Technology Exchange.

Eligibility Criteria

(I) The enterprise possesses innovation capabilities and high growth potential, is primarily engaged in the research and development, manufacturing, and services of high-tech products, holds intellectual property rights, and has no intellectual property disputes;

(II) The enterprise operates in a standardized manner, maintains a good social reputation, has no adverse records, and is a non-listed small and medium-sized technology-based enterprise;

(3) The enterprise meets the national criteria for classifying small and medium-sized enterprises, and its sales revenue in 2016 did not exceed RMB 200 million;

(4) The enterprise must have been established no more than 10 years ago, meaning its business registration date should be on or after January 1, 2007;

(V) The competition is divided into the Startup Group and the Growth Enterprise Group. Companies registered with the Administration for Industry and Commerce on or after January 1, 2016 are eligible to participate in the Startup Group, while companies registered on or before December 31, 2015 may only participate in the Growth Enterprise Group.

(6) Enterprises that have won awards in the national finals or national industry finals of the previous five competitions are not eligible to participate in this competition.

 

Competition Awards:

Projects that win the Excellence Award or higher in the National Finals of the China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition are eligible for financial support from relevant funds administered by the Ministry of Finance of the People’s Republic of China. The specific amount shall be subject to the final interpretation by the Torch High Technology Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology.


All enterprises participating in the national competition that advance to the semi-finals shall be recommended for qualification to compete in the finals of the China (Beijing) Innovation and Entrepreneurship Season (2017).


The following reward support is primarily provided to the first-, second-, and third-prize winning projects of the Grand Season Finals:

1. Million-dollar prize reward;

2. Recommended for inclusion in policy support programs such as the Beijing New Technologies, New Products (Services) Catalog, the Municipal Special Fund for Technological Innovation of Small and Medium-sized Sci-tech Enterprises, and the Capital Science and Technology Innovation Voucher;

3. Enjoy a package of mass entrepreneurship and innovation services, including technology R&D support, investment and financing, supply chain promotion, startup training, commercial services, and park settlement.


Grand Season (2017) Finals: Awards for All Finalist Projects

1. All member units of the Beijing Business Incubation Association and the Beijing Makerspace Alliance shall provide participating projects with free six-month residency.

2. Free Participation: At least 3 special sessions for supply chain resource matchmaking with leading enterprises; at least 3 investment roadshow and matchmaking events; at least 6 Friday salons on entrepreneurship training; as well as activities such as Zaihang, Wanyou Youth Hui, and on-site visits to industrial parks in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

Registration Method:

Enterprises that self-assess as meeting the eligibility criteria are required to voluntarily register and apply through the official website of the China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (URL: www.cxcyds.com). Applicant enterprises must submit complete application materials and assume responsibility for the accuracy and authenticity of the information provided. The official competition website is the sole channel for registration; all other application channels are invalid.
