Primary care represents the most vulnerable segment of China’s healthcare system. Despite serving a large population base, it suffers from a severe shortage of essential resources, including medical infrastructure, healthcare professionals, and medical equipment. Consequently, primary healthcare has become an urgent priority for improvement and a key focus of national strengthening efforts. Under the overarching strategy of “Healthy China 2030,” enhancing primary healthcare has emerged as a top priority.
