Ping An Wanjia Medical Chairman and CEO Fan Shaofei and Kangbairui Health President Li Xiaoxia Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement
In healthcare reform, medical insurance and hospital reforms have consistently garnered greater attention, as both are most closely linked to disease treatment. However, Fan Shaofei, Chairman and CEO of Ping An Wanjia Medical, stated that given the ongoing transformation of China’s overall disease spectrum and demographic structure, health management and preventive care have become more critical issues. The advancement of tiered diagnosis and treatment relies heavily on the development of primary healthcare and health management services.
As a leading health management enterprise in China, Kangborui boasts thirteen years of experience in providing group and individual health management services. Leveraging its proprietary full-lifecycle health management service system, multi-dimensional chronic disease prevention and control model, and health data analytics, Kangborui delivers health and medical data analysis services, healthcare solutions, and technical platforms for the health industry.
Li Xiaoxia, President of Kangbairui Health, pointed out that internet platforms, by virtue of their inherent characteristics, are conducive to optimizing traditional diagnosis and treatment models. The collaboration with Ping An Wanjia will leverage the “Internet Plus” strategy to foster innovation in medical models and pathways for health management, thereby enabling integrated online-offline health management services and smart health management.
As a key member of Ping An Group’s healthcare sector, Ping An Wanjia Medical focuses on integrating primary care medical service resources. Leveraging its platform capabilities, it has established China’s largest network of high-quality clinic services. By centrally developing and introducing certified standards, expert resources, training services, knowledge bases, and other assets, it provides tangible tools for primary care institutions to enhance their capabilities. Furthermore, by harnessing Ping An Group’s extensive advantages in insurance and health industry ecosystems, it connects public medical insurance with commercial insurance, creating an offline gateway for Ping An’s healthcare sector and managed care services.
Under the strategic cooperation agreement, both parties will leverage their respective service and platform advantages to deepen strategic business collaboration and, based on project requirements, advance the implementation of concrete cooperation in three key areas.
It is reported that the first collaborative project between Kangbairui and Ping An Wanjia Medical will commence with the construction and operation of corporate medical clinics at Ping An Finance Centre (PAFC) in Shenzhen and Ping An A5 in Shanghai. The initiative aims to provide integrated online and offline health management services for group employees, encompassing the development of hardware and software infrastructure for the clinics, training of professional teams, and management of service implementation.
As the partnership deepens, Ping An Group’s one million employees will gain access to exclusive, one-stop health management services that integrate online and offline offerings, including healthcare data analytics, health promotion, chronic disease management, and sub-health management.
Meanwhile, in terms of platform clinic business cooperation, both parties will jointly establish a standardized service system for health management and chronic disease prevention and control targeting primary healthcare institutions.
On one hand, this collaboration will propel Ping An Wanjia Medical from basic clinical care toward more advanced health management and chronic disease prevention and rehabilitation services; On the other hand, the establishment of such a system facilitates enhanced operational capabilities for professional services at primary healthcare institutions, improved physician performance, increased customer and patient satisfaction, and better health outcomes, by achieving goals such as system integration with clinic operational services, data sharing, and customized system functionalities.
Both parties will also explore the integration of insurance and health management services, promoting the design and development of goal-oriented (disease management and cost control) products that combine insurance with health management. They will implement value-added health management services for relevant group and individual insurance clients, establish data models for cost control and health outcomes, pioneer the “Health Insurance + Health Management” model, and lead the domestic industry market.

Together, they aim to create a new paradigm for health management and actively explore its practical application in primary healthcare, insurance, and related industries.
