l Lianzhong Medical Special Report
Lianzhong Medical is a national high-tech enterprise in the “Internet + Healthcare” sector, continuously pursuing independent innovation and R&D to drive healthcare reform and development. As the sole corporate representative delivering a keynote speech at this forum, Raul Conde, Vice President of eimageglobal (Hong Kong) Limited, a Hong Kong-based subsidiary of Lianzhong Medical, presented a special session titled “Set Up A Medical Data Cloud Platform.”
Drawing on the current state of telemedicine both in China and abroad, as well as the prevailing healthcare dilemmas in China, he shared Lianzhong Medical’s specific solution: establishing a medical cloud platform.
I. Telemedicine-Education Synergy
The core of healthcare reform lies in medical resources. The key to telemedicine education is achieving efficient sharing of medical resources and enhancing the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of professionals through remote collaboration in cross-hospital, cross-regional, and even cross-border medical education. This includes activities such as video demonstrations by experts, study of classic medical cases, and clinical reviews of imaging diagnoses. Leveraging the interconnectivity of data on medical cloud platforms, primary care physicians can utilize fragmented time for learning and improvement, mastering new technologies anytime and anywhere, thereby truly strengthening primary care within the tiered diagnosis and treatment system.
Application Scenarios of Telemedicine Education
II. Industry-Academia-Research-Medicine Talent Development Program
In the field of talent development, Lianzhong Medical adopts a joint education approach involving both domestic and international institutions, and implements specific, targeted talent development strategies:
1. Telemedicine guidance, irregular talent training, practical base teaching, and targeted cultivation of clinical talents for grassroots hospitals;
2. Cultivation of high-end interdisciplinary talents (e.g., in healthcare, big data, information technology, and bioengineering).
Through multi-dimensional and multi-level collaboration, we support collaborative innovation within the national healthcare service system, promote medical students’ service and employment at the grassroots level, and explore the establishment of rational mobility and promotion mechanisms for grassroots physicians. Meanwhile, we provide talent reserve support to government and health administrative departments for medical big data analytics, effective cost control, and the incubation of the broader health and big data industries.
III. Collaboration · Guizhou Medical University Internet Hospital
Lianzhong Medical has formally signed a cooperation agreement with Guizhou Medical University and other entities to establish the Guizhou Medical University Medical Network Management Co., Ltd. (provisional name). Together, they will build an internet hospital with the Guizhou Medical University University Town Hospital as its headquarters base. Through pilot programs in regions such as Bijie and Dafang, they aim to explore solutions to challenges including the difficulty of deploying and retaining medical talent at the grassroots level, as well as insufficient employment opportunities for medical graduates, thereby providing new pathways for domestic medical talent development. Furthermore, leveraging the Guizhou Medical University Internet Hospital as a platform and link, the initiative plans to connect with Duke University in the United States in the future, establishing a professional cross-border bridge for telemedicine services. This will extend international high-end expert resources and advanced medical technologies to the ten ASEAN countries, maximizing the sharing and utilization of medical resources.
