As the only national-level exhibition hosted by the CDPF, the Welfare Expo has seen significant improvements this year compared to previous editions in terms of venue collaboration, exhibition zone planning, exhibitor recruitment and promotion, buyer invitation, and service support. Institutions and professionals in the welfare sectors for persons with disabilities and the elderly are welcome to participate in the 2017 Welfare Expo. We extend our gratitude to all sectors of society for their attention and support for the cause of persons with disabilities.
It was pointed out that the Welfare Expo has successfully held ten sessions to date, with its scale continuously expanding and its exhibit range increasingly comprehensive. The expo covers a full spectrum of assistive products, including accessibility facilities, rehabilitation equipment, prosthetics and orthotics, as well as visual and hearing aids. It benefits persons with disabilities and the elderly in all aspects of daily life, including clothing, food, housing, and transportation. Having developed into China’s largest, most professional, and most international specialized exhibition for assistive devices, it serves as a platform for international exchange within the industry and fully demonstrates the achievements made in China’s undertakings for persons with disabilities and the aging population.
Ou Ling, Vice Chairperson of the Beijing Disabled Persons' FederationIt was pointed out that all previous editions of the exhibition have been held in Beijing, playing a significant role in promoting the development of services for persons with disabilities in the city and advancing the goal of ensuring “rehabilitation services for all.” The Beijing Disabled Persons’ Federation will collaborate to ensure the successful organization of this expo, focusing primarily on two key initiatives: First, 80,000 tickets will be distributed to residents across the city, providing interested individuals, particularly persons with disabilities, with the opportunity to attend and visit the exhibition. Second, participatory activities will be organized to publicly showcase the implementation of assistive device services for persons with disabilities in Beijing under the “Internet Plus” service management model. On-site, a “one-stop” service will be provided to persons with disabilities in Beijing, covering assistive device application, assessment, fitting, and purchase.
As a new co-organizer, Poly Jinhan Exhibition has achieved significant breakthroughs in exhibitor and sponsor recruitment for this expo. Leveraging its proven track record in hosting numerous international exhibitions, it has fully utilized its close partnerships with industry associations, extensive client resources, vast buyer database, and professional marketing and promotion operations. The exhibition scale has reached 20,000 square meters, with nearly 300 participating enterprises, both setting new historical records.

This approach better showcases development trends in the welfare and rehabilitation sectors and precisely meets the diverse procurement needs of professional attendees. Notably, the expo’s industrial chain layout has been further expanded to cover hotspots such as rehabilitation, elderly care, and intelligent technologies, injecting new vitality and momentum into industry development.
In addition, this edition of the exhibition introduces three specialized zones for the first time. The National Assistive Technology Achievements Exhibition Zone is led by the China Assistive Technology Center for Persons with Disabilities, in collaboration with six national regional assistive technology centers (Northeast, North, Central, South, Southwest, and Northwest) and the Beijing Disabled Persons’ Federation. It showcases collaborative R&D achievements, fitting technologies, and precision services. The Chinese Hearing and Speech Rehabilitation Technology and Products Exhibition Zone, led by the Chinese Research Center for Hearing and Speech Rehabilitation, presents the latest global developments in hearing and speech rehabilitation from an international perspective.
