Medical Imaging Breakthrough: XiShi Hetero and West China Hospital's Collaborative Innovation | Founder Song Jie Joins VB Group Interview

The “West China–Cidi Medical Artificial Intelligence R&D Center,” jointly established by West China Hospital of Sichuan University and Sichuan Cidi Heterogeneous Medical Technology Co., Ltd., was inaugurated in Chengdu. Upon its establishment, the center’s research scope will encompass medical artificial intelligence technologies across multiple disciplines, including digestive endoscopy, pathology, CT, MRI, and ultrasound.

The integration of artificial intelligence into medicine, particularly clinical medicine, can significantly enhance the speed of disease assessment, diagnostic accuracy, and drug development progress, while reducing costs. In March this year, West China Hospital and Xishi Yigou Medical Technology Co., Ltd. initiated preliminary collaboration in the research and development of AI technologies for digestive endoscopy, achieving phased progress. This technology enables physicians to deliver high-level, high-quality diagnoses for various diseases observed during digestive endoscopy, with research outcomes that are internationally leading.
