Zhuo Zheng Healthcare Secures $40 Million Series C Funding to Enhance Clinic Quality Management and IT Systems

It is reported that Distinct HealthCare has recently completed a $40 million Series C financing round, introducing three renowned investment institutions: Tiantu Capital, China International Capital Corporation (CICC), and Qianhai Fund of Funds. Existing investors from the Series A and B rounds, Matrix Partners China and Shui Mu Fund, continued to participate in the follow-on investment.

Previously, Distinct HealthCare had completed two rounds of financing:

In 2014, Distinct HealthCare secured $3.5 million in Series A financing;

In 2015, Distinct HealthCare secured its Series B funding round, raising $17.5 million.

Distinct Health was founded in April 2012 in Shenzhen, led by a team of distinguished physicians and managed by a professional administrative team.Over the past five years, Distinct HealthCare has operated nearly 20 medical centers across six cities in China, offering services spanning internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, dentistry, dermatology, otolaryngology, and outpatient surgery.

Following this Series C financing round, Distinct HealthCare will primarily allocate the funds to building core capabilities in medical quality management and information system development, as well as establishing medical centers and teams in newly entered cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Changsha.

It is reported that the total monthly outpatient volume across all Distinct HealthCare chain facilities has reached 15,000 visits. Among these, the Beijing Wangjing and CBD Medical Centers together account for 1,000 outpatient visits per month. Furthermore, Distinct HealthCare is expanding its specialized services, such as pediatric wellness and pediatric dentistry, which are in short supply in the current market.

In 2017, Distinct HealthCare focused on enhancing customer experience. The latest customer satisfaction survey conducted in June, with over 400 participants, showed that more than 98% of Distinct HealthCare’s customers expressed overall satisfaction. Meanwhile, the company maintained rapid growth in its customer base, with outpatient visits and new memberships both doubling compared to the same period last year. The five new clinics opened in the second half of the previous year have all entered a trajectory of healthy development.

In addition to the rapid growth in its customer base, Distinct HealthCare has further strengthened its service offerings and capabilities. Beyond the diagnosis and treatment of common diseases, its dental and health examination services have seen significant acceleration this year. Taking its dental services, launched over a year ago, as an example, Distinct Dentistry now provides comprehensive dental care, including pediatric dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, orthodontics, dental implants, and prosthodontics. Notably, Distinct HealthCare is one of the few high-end private medical institutions in the industry capable of providing general anesthesia for pediatric dental treatments.

Physicians are the core of healthcare, and only outstanding physicians can deliver high-quality medical services. To date, 20 additional distinguished physicians have joined Distinct HealthCare. Like our existing medical team, they all possess top-tier medical education backgrounds and clinical experience in China. By the end of this year, the number of full-time physicians at Distinct HealthCare will exceed 100.
