Dawn Breaks: 70 Chinese AI and Big Data in Healthcare Companies Converge in Wuhan for Landmark Industry Forum
Driven by the dual forces of technical talent development and supportive policies, China’s medical AI industry is poised for rapid growth.
According to statistics from the VCBeat database, there are currently 243 medical artificial intelligence companies worldwide, with 70 of them located in China. In particular, since the relaxation of policies in 2016, medical AI enterprises have emerged in large numbers.
As of July 2017, the total financing raised by 70 domestic companies had approached RMB 3.8 billion. The trend in financing over the years is shown in the figure below (data for 2017 is up to July).
