Miao Health Officially Announces Completion of RMB 100 Million Series B+ FinancingMiao Health has officially announced that, following the completion of its RMB 250 million Series B financing in the first quarter, it secured an additional RMB 100 million in Series B+ financing yesterday. The investor was the Jiangzhong Traditional Chinese Medicine Fund. Kong Fei, CEO of Miao Health, stated that upon the completion of this round of financing, the company will continue to accelerate product research and development, industry layout, and customer expansion around its core business. Meanwhile, it will expedite the intelligent transformation of health management based on health big data.

Since completing its Series A financing in early 2016, Miao Health has completed three rounds of funding totaling RMB 450 million, establishing itself as the leading brand in the mobile health management sector. The investor in this round, Jiangzhong Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Fund, is a TCM industry investment fund jointly established by Zhongye Capital and Jiangzhong Group, with a focus on investing in the broader health sector, including TCM, health management, and dietary therapy and wellness.

Currently, More Health has three main products:

One is Miao Health’s user health behavior management platform. Miao Health pioneered the concept of the “M-Value” (i.e., Health Behavior Index), employing gamified operations to enable users to quantify their health through scoring. In August, Miao Health’s Health Behavior Index [M-Value] gained recognition from experts at authoritative institutions, becoming China’s first comprehensive index that assesses individual health behaviors using a numerical approach.

The second component is “Miao+,” Miao Health’s health data operations platform. In June 2016, Miao Health launched the “Miao Planet Initiative,” an internet-based health ecosystem, announcing its intention to collaborate with industries including smart wearable devices, insurance, physical examinations, and medical services to jointly build this digital health ecosystem. By integrating with instruments or connecting to databases, the platform has already incorporated data from over 300 models across 13 categories of smart wearable devices, such as smart bands, blood pressure monitors, glucometers, body fat scales, thermometers, and fetal heart rate monitors, accumulating several terabytes of data. Furthermore, it opened its APIs to third parties (such as insurance companies) in the first quarter of 2017.

Third is the “Miaoyun” team, which focuses on health interventions and algorithms. It is understood that “Miaoyun” will analyze collected user health behavior data and push corresponding achievable micro-“tasks” to help users achieve their daily “M-value.”

After two years of dedicated exploration, Miao Health has leveraged its proprietary Miao+ data platform and the Health Behavior Index (M-Value) to provide professional mobile health management services to B-side clients. These services encompass Health Management + Insurance, Health Management + Telecom Operators, Health Management + New Retail, and Health Management + Employee Benefits. By capitalizing on its competitive advantages, Miao Health has pioneered various innovative collaboration models in the field of mobile health management and established partnerships with numerous internationally renowned brands.

More Health enables scientific, precise, and intelligent health management through its mobile application, which will be progressively deployed across various scenarios, including insurance, general wellness, medical care, and medication management. By leveraging Internet Plus, big data, and artificial intelligence, More Health not only advances the theory and practice of domestic health behavior management but also tangibly enhances the health literacy of the entire Chinese population.
