Recently, reporters learned from the Jiaxing Municipal Health and Family Planning Commission that the Jiaxing Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Cloud Platform, promoted and constructed by Jiaxing City, was officially launched on October 14. On the same day, the Xuanhutai Intelligent Syndrome Differentiation and Treatment Cloud Platform 3.0 and the Lianxintang TCM Health Service Platform were also launched.

As the technical builder of three major intelligent application platforms for traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), Ni Rong, Secretary-General of the Zhejiang Health Information Association and founder of Zhejiang Lianxin, stated that Jiaxing is at the forefront of TCM informatization construction in Zhejiang Province and even across China. With the upcoming opening of the Wuzhen Internet TCM Clinic, Jiaxing residents will be able to access high-quality TCM services right at their doorstep.

More encouragingly, according to the announcement on the official website of the World Internet Conference, the 4th World Internet Conference will be held as scheduled in Wuzhen, Tongxiang City, Jiaxing, on December 3. At that time, adjacent to the Wuzhen Internet Hospital, China’s first Internet-based Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Clinic—Wuzhen Internet TCM Clinic—and its application platform, jointly established by WeDoctor, Zhejiang Lianxin Health, and other institutions under the guidance of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and with the participation of numerous TCM universities and hospitals across China, will be officially launched. This initiative will serve as a modern window for the world to gain insight into traditional Chinese medicine.

It is understood that the Wuzhen Internet Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Clinic online platform is an intelligent TCM application platform developed based on WeDoctor’s Ruiyi Cloud technology and the Xuanhu Tai 3.0 framework. Centered on the TCM principle of syndrome differentiation and treatment, the platform consolidates TCM wisdom encompassing 1,441 syndrome patterns, 1,528 drug contraindications, thousands of prescriptions, and tens of thousands of knowledge entries. Clinical data generated after its launch will be fed back into the Ruiyi Cloud and the TCM Clinic platform systems. Leveraging deep learning technologies, this feedback enhances the system’s intelligence, fostering a virtuous cycle of integrated development across technology, platform infrastructure, and clinical experience.

The Wuzhen Internet Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Clinic is housed in a building dating back to the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China era. It features specialized TCM zones, including areas for national gifts, traditional techniques, authentic herbal medicines, the TCM Academy, renowned physicians’ studios, remote consultation rooms, and apprenticeship halls. The clinic invites esteemed senior TCM practitioners to provide on-site consultations and serves as a showcase platform for geo-authentic medicinal materials and various TCM schools. With a total area of 4,500 square meters, the facility is currently under construction and is expected to open in mid-to-late November.

“Wuzhen has long been home to renowned physicians and is a major producer of Hangzhou White Chrysanthemum, one of the eight authentic Zhejiang medicinal herbs. Following the launch of the Wuzhen Internet Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Clinic and its application platform, we will leverage the Wuzhen medical school as a foundation to integrate TCM resources nationwide. Guided by the principles of simplicity, convenience, efficacy, and affordability, we aim to deliver high-quality TCM services to 60,000 residents of Wuzhen, 690,000 residents of Tongxiang, 3.29 million residents of Jiaxing, and the seven million tourists who visit Wuzhen annually,” said Ni Rong, who oversees the clinic’s development.

Leveraging Wuzhen’s unique advantages, the Wuzhen Internet Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Clinic will be developed into a multi-dimensional experience center integrating “Internet + Artificial Intelligence + TCM.” It aims to become the national hub for the Internet-based TCM Medical Consortium and a national base for inheriting renowned TCM practitioners’ expertise and prescriptions. Additionally, by capitalizing on the World Internet Conference, it will serve as a window for China to showcase TCM to the world and strengthen connections with strategic partner countries along the Belt and Road Initiative.
